The place to go for juicy wood grilled steaks, accompanied with an extensive wine list, reat ambience with a ranch style atmosphere. Go on a Friday for some great live music.
From the appetizers to the offerings this old standby remains at the top end of the list in Albuquerque. It is a formal feel with a 'Ranchers' setting. If you didn't like the feel of a formal 'Bonanza' dining room in the old days you will like this ambience. Steak is great, try the bone in rib eye. The vegetables... More
My husband and I celebrate Valentine's Day here every year. Everything is good - but you have to get the cowboy cut bone-in ribeye! Very traditional, New Mexico interior - love the bison head, antler chandelier, saddle, etc. Great wait staff that have worked there for years.
Steak (from Nebraska) and prime rib (from New Mexico) were both very good quality and cooked just as ordered. Both were very meaty and flavorful, but I'd say a step below some of the prime steakhouses in NY and Chicago to which I've been. Prices were also, for the most part, a good deal less than those places (but not... More
I went here on a business trip and really liked it in a strange sort of way. A huge bison head over the fireplace stared at me while I ate my sirloin steak, au gratin potatoes, green beans & baby carrots, creme brûlée, and Pinot noir. Deer heads throughout the restaurant dissuaded me from ordering the venison. Not Bambi! It... More
The staff are wonderful, food is great. Overall a great place for a special occasion. We went for a romantic birthday outing and they didn't disappoint. Just very pricey - be prepared!
As longtime locals, we've eaten at The Ranchers Club many times over the years, but not in the past three years. Recently, my husband and I headed there hoping for a romantic celebratory dinner. We were sadly disappointed. The atmosphere, which has always been a place you might imagine rich cattle barons would frequent, with comfortable half-moon banquets, intimate tables,... More
Please tell me you're going to try out the Ranchers Club in Albuquerque the next time you have some spare bucks. I'm still in Nirvana after having taken my hubby there for his birthday. Holy cow. Try the filet mignon with red chile demi glace and green chiles!!! The most unforgettable experience (in a restaurant) I've had in a while.... More
First visit to this very fine dining restaurant and was I ever surprised that this was hotel food!! I had the Cowboy steak and it was fabulous with the garlic mashed potatoes. Service was top notch and atmosphere delightful. Will be back again soon!
After eating at the Ranchers Club restaurant for over 35 years I was very surprised to have a bad steak meal Saturday night. They butterfly cut my filet without my approval and gave a piece of meat that I really don't believe was a filet. My friends and my wifes' meal was good but I was not pleased. I can't... More
