I used to live in ABQ., and fortunately within walking distance from Duran's. Nothing beats their home-made tortillas! They have the biggest and best buttery tortillas in ABQ. Also recommend the huevos rancheros and the chicken enchiladas. Try to hit it any chance we get! more
The staff makes you feel like you're at home, Donna's the greatest. The food is great, the atmosphere is great. If you've never been there, you've got to try it. more
We stopped here for breakfast on our way out of town. Needing provisions as well, we liked the combination of drug store/cafe. Our impression of the cafe: clean, friendly, authentic, big portions, casual. After snooping around the pharmacy, we entered the cafe part, and sat at the counter. I actually crave Durans - I love to go to the little drugstore and see the same people that have worked there for years making the tortillas and serving them. It is great. This place has a long history and this was our first visit for lunch. Special was 3 chicken enchiladas for a somewhat expensive almost $10--tasty but smothered in cheese. Best was a delicious, large buttered tortilla. Pie for dessert was fair and certainly not home made. In this area with so many options, there are better places to eat. more
