The Route 66 Malt Shop is a quaint, very clean diner and malt shop. The food is home made and delicious. They make their own sodas and the root beer is especially tasty! When you walk through the doors it is like walking back in time into the 1950s. The staff is very friendly, the owner is nice and will... More

Me and my family recently ate here when we were in Albuquerque. We were looking for something different besides the normal restaurant chains that are available in any larger city. We were very glad we tried this restaurant. Two of my family members are very picky about food and what they will and will not eat. They both loved their... More

This was a great stop for us on rt 66. Went for ice cream for my daughter and ended up with pie a la mode for me and my wife. Very cool shop with lots of photos and pics from my youth. Very clean place. Owner was a pleasure to talk to. Very hip cat with knowledge on the town,... More

This is a nicely decorated old-fashioned malt shop. The food is much the same as the 50's. Servings are generous & the service is friendly. Treat yourself to dessert, for sure!

The food was great in this 50's diner. Rootbeer float was out of this world! Very friendly staff and owners. Had green chili veggie burger - it was spicy and tasty. Loved the decor. Great Route 66 memorabilia.

Really up there with the best of the 50's diners. Genuinely friendly, food innovative and good-tasting. Worth a stop for locals and visitors alike.

We stopped by for lunch this afternoon. Awesome burgers- great home-made fries, and yummy hand-dipped malts. Everything was delicious. It's on historic Route 66 which is neat. Pop by here if you're passing through Albuquerque on I-40. You won't be sorry!

This was my first time here,. I was used to going to the malt shop near downtown. This one was a little warm for me at the first but the food and drink was great. My husband even said the chili was really good and hot.

I had been wanting to try this place out all week long since we got to Albuquerque. I definitely want disappointed. We ordered burgers, fries, & a brisket plate. All were delicious. Fries were super good & burger was perfect size for me, not too big. Also tried a fresh squeezed limeade that was incredible. Ordered a banana split &... More

We had a great time at this super cute little diner. The atmosphere outperformed the food--we had burgers, fries and sodas-- but it was still a fun place!
