Not exactly Neapolitan But New York City / Boston Style Pizza

One of the best Neapolitan pizza joints in Albuquerque is Amore, however this place is reminiscent of a thin crust "New York" "Boston" style pizza that comes out of a more conventional oven. Part of a three way tie for my favorite pizza in Albuquerque. Really excellent thin crust NY style pizza served up quick in a really fun atmosphere. Great for lunch.

Don't let the location scare you away. My husband was a little worried, but all was great. This place is a hole in the wall that has been around for quite some time. The people were super friendly and the pizza was amazing!! You can taste the herbs on the pizza, which make it even better! Meat lovers with black... More

Giovanni's brought back memories of eating a REAL SLICE back in New England where I grew up. This is the real deal. The location is in a neighborhood strip mall by the Air Force Base. It seats about 40 people. THIS IS NOTHING FANCY! This is Authentic and reasonable.

I only learned about Giovanni's in the past few months through an online article. I'm still kicking myself for not discovering it sooner. The owner is originally from Italy via Brooklyn and now in Albuquerque, NM. NYC being one of my favorite places to go, I can tell you Giovanni's pizza rivals anything you'll find there. It retains the look... More

I eat lunch here regularly because their pies are delicious: the closest to New York-style Italian pizza I have tasted in more than 25 years in New Mexico. The plain cheese pizza is perfect: simple and elegant. The slices don't require 50 toppings for taste, just a bit of garlic salt. The slices are thin, cheesy, eminently foldable, slightly greasy,... We stopped here because it was one of the few places that popped up on my phone that wasn't a chain. The pizza was good, perhaps a little greasy, but nothing crazy. The establishment is in a strip center that isn't the most welcoming, but the interior of the restaurant was fine. This place gives the strong impression that not... More

We went here because of an article we saw on HuffPost, and we ordered the New Mexican pizza... we were not disappointed. The pizza itself had a fairly thin crust, but it was done JUST RIGHT. The toppings throuh, mmmm... they were amazing.
