A second Sadie's has opened off Eubank in an old J.B's restaurant. We gave it a couple of month for the novelty to wear off before going. I wish we had waited a couple of years. Where the Sadie's on 4th St. feels homey and inviting this newer one felt flea market cheap. There hasn't been much expenditure on furnishings... more

We visited on Oct 19. 2009. Carne Asovada is worth the trip to Albuquerque, spicy, and fully of flavor. Heartily recommend it. It is a little out of the way but great. Friendly service and great value. more

My husband and I arrived in ABQ kind of late in the evening, and were spending only one night before leaving on a tour of northern New Mexico and Arizona. This was my first time in New Mexico, and I was anxious to sample New Mexican cuisine. The hotel desk clerk recommended Sadie's as a good choice that would be... more

Sadie's newest location on Eubank Blvd. was such a disappointment that the original on 4th St. may not want to lend their name to this location. As the hostess was taking me to my table nothing about the decor said "welcome". Amateur painted walls and the one print hanging was probably left behind by the breakfast place that occupied this... more

You have got to go to Sadie's when you are in Albuquerque. Pay no attention to the negative reviews. If you know the difference between New Mexico cuisine and Mexican cuisine then you will love Sadie's. Yes, it is a large restaurant. Yes, it is crowded at ALL times of the day so make reservations. Sometimes it gets loud so... more

The price is only marginally high. This is a good place to get hot green chili. Their masa in the tamales is the result of much preperation, and the salsa is hot and what you hope for in a restaurant salsa. I always buy extra salsa to take home. The interior features huge timbers that were trucked into the desert. more

Just OK

A friend recommended this place to us so we thought we'd give it a try. The place was huge and very crowded. We were seated after about 15 minutes of waiting. The dining room was crowded and people kept bumping into my chair as they walked by. It took longer than it should have for our server to show up... more

This touristy restaurant has decent food. However, the carne adovada ribs are truly special. They are worth eating, despite the atmosphere of the restaurant. more

We chose this restaurant based on reviews in guidebooks. We were extremely disappointed, especially since we had been traveling through NM for several days, and had excellent NM/Mexican food at other restaurants. My son ordered chicken enchiladas, and only ate some as it was very dry and tasteless. My husband and I ordered sopapillas stuffed with pork roasted in red... more

I enjoyed my food and time here. Gets crowded but eating in the bar turned out to be a good option.I'm not an expert on New Mexican food, but I know what tastes good. more
