Great food...good prices!

We enjoyed this restaurant tremendously. Don't be fooled by the humble exterior - inside we found excellent Mexican food and a reasonably-priced menu. The service was good. We enjoyed this restaurant tremendously. Don't be fooled by the humble exterior - inside we found excellent Mexican food and a reasonably-priced menu. The service was good. The only reason I give this four stars instead of five is because you must pay for refills on all drinks...but I suppose the reasonable prices offset this. The horchata was some of... More

I was looking around for something that wasn't part of a restaurant chain and that was within reasonable walking distance of the airport hotel where I was. The restaurant is right across from the Kirtland Air Force Base entrance. The owner's family is from Juarez, hence the name "The Flavor/Taste of Juarez". It was half an hour until closing, so... The burritos and flautas were very good. My carne asada burrito meat had a nice grill char and good seasoning. The rice was done right and was a good accompaniment to the other dishes. Usually such a small place would not be noted for excellent service but we were very impressed with the very busy staff. The food arrived in... More

We had the pleasure of eating at El Sabor De Juarez on Gibson Blvd in Albuquerque New Mex. this January of 2015 after being recommended by our desk clerk at our hotel. It is a tiny hideaway a person might pass unnoticed, but the food prepared inside will make you take notice. Excellent dinners with all the Mexican favorites. The... More

Tucked incongruously next to a pawn shop across from Kirtland Air Force Base, this hole-in-the-wall serves authentic norteno (northern Mexican) food at reasonable prices. We especially like the enchiladas, but everything we've had there has been good. On the numerous times we've been here, it has looked like there were only three employees -- a cook, a manager who may... More

Unpretentious small diner across from the AF Base...consistently good across 20 visits. The price, especially for the daily specials is very reasonable. Not sure about the recent reviews, we always get good, friendly service and every meal has been good.

This is a small Mexican diner on a busy thoroughfare that I have been going to for more than 25 years. In my opinion, it has decent Mexican food including Veracruz-style fish but what really turns me on is their Caldo de Pescado which reminds me of wonderful soups I've had in interior Mexico, full of fish and vegetables. The beef tacos were awful -the hamburger meat was mostly a non-meat filler and undercooked - the meat was pink. I could not eat it. They were kind enough to take them away and bring me chicken tacos. The chips were overcooked, the beans were dry, and everything was over salted. It was not very clean either. Nice people, bad... More
