From the home made tortillas to the red / green chile (what ever you prefer) this food will make your taste buds savor the true Spanish food thats made New Mexico what it is. You'll want to go back for more. The atmosphere is like warm and welcoming, great service, beautiful artwork to enjoy while your eating. Everyone there makes... More

This is a very good place to eat authentic New Mexican. Not really distinguishable from many others in ABQ but that is not necessarily a bad thing. Prices are reasonable, food is delicious, portions are huge. I got the combo plate with a tamale, taco and enchilada, and while I was able to eat it all (except the rice and... More

There are no shortage of Mexican restaurants in Albuquerque so picking one from all of them can be a daunting task. I used Trip Advisor to help me make my decision recently and I am certainly glad I did. This unassuming place on West Central has great food, super service and a friendly atmosphere. My plate of carne adovada was... More

After 12 hours on the road, my husband and I weren't anxious to get back in the car to find a place to eat. We were staying at the Sandia Peak Inn across the street and decided we'd rather walk to this place and take a chance than drive somewhere else. We were both happy we did. The service was... More

I know people who love this place, but the food is only so-so and the service was lackluster at best.

Is it the best green chile in Albuquerque? You probably wouldn’t get much of an argument here. Is it the spiciest red chile in town? See above. We love this place. Friendly, efficient service. Terrific food. Large portions. Good prices. On this trip, I just wasn’t in the mood for rice and beans, so I had a bowl of green... More

Great food. Enjoyed the Huevo Rancheros & Chili Relleno's w/ Green Chili's. Sopapillas were excellent! Very good value for the price.

This restaurant was across from out motel, and we have eaten lunch here each time we stayed. This year, the place looked more settled than last - more furniture and permanent decorations. The service was good, and our food was very good. I don't like spicy, so had a BLT. My husband enjoyed his enchiladas, and had to get a... More

I was visiting in the area and the parking lot seemed full, so thought I would check it out. It was nice and the food was good. It was on par with other mexican food places in town. The food was more of a tex-mex style rather than mexico. The locals seem to like it.

El Charritos is directly across the street from our motel, Sandia Peak Motel, so we had to check it out for supper. Sparkly clean, well lit, and quite a few families were our tip off that this was a good place to come. Plenty of food on the plates, quick and friendly waitress who stopped to chat, and dozens of...
