Old Dairy Queens never die

Those of you old enough to remember the Red Barn Buildings that Dairy Queen used as a signature design, will recognize the original building as a DQ in a prior life. But design is where the resemblance ends. Inside you will be pleased to find fresh tortillas being made before your eyes, just... read more

Went here after taking the ABQ tour at the recommendation of the tour guide. It is a site to see. Had the sweet roll and a few other things, all of which was outstanding.

The Western omelette is my favorite. Their green chile is great on anything. Always a good meal. Interesting people watching place. Frontier is also famous for its sweet roll.

We were told that this was a very good restaurant, but I beg to differ. It is directly across from the main entrance to the university of New Mexico. Needless to say it was a hangout for college students. The food was very reasonably priced. The best thing I had was their sweet roll & it was very good &... More

We went to the Frontier in April and it was very disappointing. Employees were friendly in a funky atmosphere with interesting paintings, but.......the food left a lot to be desired. I ordered the reasonably priced chopped steak, bread, salad and fries which took 15 minutes to prepare when the restaurant was 2/3 empty. The steak was too salty lathered in... More

Great fun eating at this restaurant before attending a show with a friend. One orders at a window, but the selection is phenomenol. I loved that one could order green chile with or without meat. The flavor is marvelous, too. The only drawback was parking was very tight. I will be sure to schedule my next visit before or after... More

This place rocks. Food is great. Help is friendly and fast. Restaurant is clean and bathrooms aren't smelly. Additionally the owners have given a ton of money to the city and UNM. Friday night this is some of the best people watching in town.

I went to this restaurant in February, and it was one of the worst dining experiences in my life. I only had a Red Chile Smothered Burrito and Some French Fries and a Coke. It tasted frozen and it was inedible. I then started to experience food poisoning like symptoms shortly after eating here. It was awful.

You don't really go to the Frontier for the food unless you're just looking for a cheap, quick taste of local flavor. The food is mediocre at best, and everything is prepared in advance and assembled lukewarm to order. However, the Frontier is one of those places that everyone asks if you've been to yet. Also, it's quick and the... More

Went there on recommendation of a local. This place is right across the street from UNM so it's cheap for students. You order at the counter, find a table and they call your number so you pick it u. The food is cheap but really, really good. We enjoyed tortilla soup, tostados and their specialty "sweet roll" (which is only... More
