College Joint with Great Food

Excellent food at an excellent price. The breakfast burritos are outstanding, as are the green chili cheeseburgers, and don't forget to order a cinnamon roll. Order at the counter then wait for your number.

The Frontier is one of my favorite places to go for people watching and the best cinnamon rolls around. I am not a fan of their green chili or anything they cook with it. It doesn't rate in my book.

Maybe it's just the few times I've gone there. And everything was just right (no lines, no hassle, no bad food experience). But this place is just amazing. The food is great. And the atmosphere is great, also. No waitress service or anything like that, but just great NM breakfast food and a feel-good feeling. I will visit this place... More

The restaurant's proximity to the UNM campus is a real plus. Very unique serving idea, but they get the job done and the food is down-home and delicious. If it's atmosphere you want, and the college scene doesn't fill that bill, you should eat elsewhere. It's noisy, making conversation very difficult, but prices are reasonable and the food is good.... Don't let the proximity to the UNM campus scare you away. This place has been there for years for college students and 'regular' folks. First off it's huge inside and the counter where you place your order has about 6 or 7 stations with the menu over head. Once you get a number watch the monitors throughout the seating area... More

Went to eat breakfast and also to try one of ABQ's landmark when it comes to food. Restaurant spacious enough to hold a large crowd. Service is fast though you have to fall in line to order , wait for your number to be flashed on the screen and pick up your order. This I guess caters more towards students... More

The Frontier became popular for its really low prices and amazing cinnamon rolls decades ago. The location is directly across from UNM the crowd is eclectic the prices are still low and the Mexican food or rather new Mexican food is still delicious. This is a very casual place. Tip, you get in line to order then choose the table.... More

This is a huge busy place; seems to be quite popular with students from nearby University. After ordering, sit anywhere and watch the monitor for your number. The service was fast and the vegetarian burrito was very good.

Last night in town and the reviews of this place had our interest. We liked having the college hangout experience (one student was in superman pajamas). and the end of the meal was their awesome sweet roll.
