We go here often as they have great food when you're in the University of New Mexico area. The prices are right and the food is filling. The Frontier rolls are dangerous if you are counting calories.

One would think that a restaurant across from UNM would not be full of homeless, vagrant type clientele. The place is large with a buffet style food - which is mediocre. Went once after being told many times to go, its great, atmosphere wonderful...but all not true.

From University students studying, to Albuquerque Society dining before Symphony or Touring Broadway productions, and every one in between. Your experience starts as you walk in the door to see some of the Southwest's most famous artists hanging on the walls. Who knew you could have some of the best dinner food among historic museum worthy art. The atmosphere is... More

The Frontier Restaurant was started by a couple from Austin, Texas. Their names are Dorothy & Larry Rainosek and they do contribute financial resources to: the University of New Mexico, Albuquerque Museum and the NM Symphony Orchestra to name a few of their philanthropic efforts. The restaurant came into existence in February of 1971, boasts a plethera of employees at... More

If you like cinnamon rolls and people watching, this place can't be beat. Across from UNM, you can find out what the latest is in college grunge attire, the latest slang and what the app world has to offer. If you haven't studied at The Frontier, you haven't attended UNM. The restaurant is locally owned and has been there for...ever.

This restaurant is close to UNM, has great breakfast burritos and good green chile stew. Check out the cinnamon buns, baked fresh.

This is a very ordinary diner type. The food is overpriced, and the restaurant if usually crowded. It would be on the list of places because it has a very long history in Albuquerque

the Frontier is known for their burritos, tacos and other New Mexican faire, but my very favorite is their soda machine! you can choose from literally 100 different drinks and some are so obscure that I haven't seen them since childhood - and it is so wonderful to be able to try so many different kinds! it is always a... This is an iconic restaurant in Albuquerque. Anyone who has lived here, gone to UNM, or visited probably has eaten here. Across the street from UNM, it is a hangout for students, young families, old timers and everyone else from all walks of life, The food is good and the prices are cheap. Probably one of only a few eating... More

If you want good food at a great price the Frontier is the place for you and your family and friends. The best carne adovada burritos and cinnamon rolls are to die for. They have a variety of different food that is very good as well, something for everyone. This is a very busy place, but the service is fast.... More
