The food I crave above all others

I am a Chicago native who has travelled through Albuquerque once or twice a year for two decades, and there is no other food I crave as often as Frontier green chile cheeseburgers. I go there as soon as I land at the sunport and eat there last thing before I leave. It's nothing fancy, just perfect... read more

Didn't know what to expect of this historic restaurant, but was pleasantly surprised at the simplicity of the place. You order from a decent menu at the counter, find a booth to squeeze into, go collect your tray with delicious food when your number shows up on the display. Soda has free refills and the fresh squeezed orange juice is... More

This place is huge, but it gets packed at certain hours, when I visited we were lucky of a short waiting line. If you like Mexican food not doubt this place will make you happy. It is not a fancy restaurant, they take your order at a counter, serve you by number and you have to pick up your tray,... More

Not a varied menu but covers everything you may want in a hurry except for an alcoholic drink. The food was a good value but nothing to write home to mom about. The atmosphere was upbeat and the staff was efficient. Does the trick for a quick value meal.

This is where we pick up our burritos and green chile stew before every Lobo football game. I always get extra for after the game also.

If you want to experience the university and homeless culture, this is the place for you. The food is greasy, cheap and flavorful. I think if you went back in the kitchen you would find the rats from the movie "The MuppetsTake Manhattan "cooking. Great place to observe people. Don't forget the specialty- cinnamon roles.

I know I'm in the minority in thinking the Frontier is only okay. I was introduced to it while attending UNM and it across the street from the university. Everyone raved about the cinnamon buns, tried one and was not impressed. I went back a few times and tried different things and again I wasn't impressed. Haven't been there are... More

Eat here. Often. You'll be a happier person. Loaded hashbrowns. Green Chile stew with fresh tortillas. Cinnamon rolls to make you punch your father. Orange juice to wash down your Central acid trip in style. If you don't like this place, you might have issues.
