Very good family restaurant

Looks like a fast-food, but food is prepared on command. Very good quality & quantity for a low price ! I had the mexican combo (enchilada & tacos) and I didn't regret my choice !

Frontier is not the best restaurant in town but I always make sure to stop in when I am in Albuquerque. This is counter service and the lines can be long but they move fast. The food is very reasonably priced and it is a good family restaurant. I usually get tacos or a burrito. They make their own tortillas... More

Went for lunch and although very crowded, the service was fast and the line moved quickly. I was told I had to get their famous green chile burger and it didn't let me down. Very tasty! I also tried a chicken taco and chips/salsa, which were actually pretty disappointing. The fresh squeezed orange juice is sooooo good though. Glad I... More

A great place for college students and friends to gather around and have a good dinner. It was a really great place and good feeling to be there. Food was great and wait was not that long even after the restaurant was full.

Frontier is legendary & cannot be missed. Located right across the street from UNM, some may consider it just a college spot. Nada. It's enjoyed immensely be every single person that ever makes the brilliant decision to pass thru their doors. Extensive menu, but all delicious. If uncertain, go for their breakfast burrito & top with their salsa (at kiosk... More

Best Green Chile Stew in town, we drive for over 65 miles to eat here at least 3 to 4 times a month. Their Green Chile cheeseburger is the bomb too. Never have to wait longer no mater the time of day the line moves quickly and food is ready in no time.

Being right across the street from UNM means that you get a great eclectic crowd eating at Frontier all the time.. It's a totally no frills place, but with GREAT traditional NM food... When we moved to Albuquerque a friend told me to go there for breakfast... The specific order is this.. Huevos Rancheros, with a side order of western... More

The Frontier Restaurant on Central Avenue has been there at least since I moved to New Mexico in 1972. It's THE hangout for serious college students and professors and locals from the neighborhood. It's pretty cheap, great mexican breakfast burritos, homemade tortillas, etc.
