Great non-Chain Place

There are a ton of restaurants to choose from in Albuquerque. We wanted to try something local. We had read several reviews on Mary's and Tito's so we decided to give it a try. First you should know, I'm a Texan. We have some of the best Tex-Mex food you can find in the Dallas area, so I know my... read more

Don't have to say very much except the staff was very friendly, the carne avodado was very good. My daughter had the combination stuffed sopapilla. That was excellent as well. Would definitely go back.

Mary and Tito's doesn't mess around. The family that runs it are really nice people who remember their customers, and they do red chile better than anyone. Their green is excellent, but their red is otherworldly. I've met two types of people in Albuquerque: those who find it to be the best red chile and those who haven't yet eaten... More

My husband and I went here for the first time last Saturday, and we returned yesterday. The food here is amazing! The sopaipillas are delicious. My husband had the chicken one and I had bean and cheese and we were both very impressed. The service was excellent as well. One thing that bothers me when I'm dining somewhere with is... More

We started our visit to NM with lunch here and ended our visit ten days later with breakfast. Both were excellent. Their red and green chile sauces have just the right amount of heat IMO. Recommend Christmas on the side - like two different meals. Their chicken was the only chicken we had that was not overcooked and dried out.... More

To start off, the consensus of the reviews are accurate. No alcohol, not much to look at on the outside, limited parking, and I'll add an uncomfortable booth seat. I was in for lunch, no trouble getting a seat. Greeted right away, very politely, told I could sit anywhere. Got beverage quickly and order taken. I went with a sopaipilla... More

We chose to eat here because of reviews on trip advisor. It was great. Generous portions at very reasonable prices. Met Mary and plan on going back.

The James Beard award convinced me to give Mary & Tito's a try when I was in ABQ recently, but I left wondering whether the underwhelming experience was due to my lack of enthusiasm for "authentic New Mexican food" (no matter what you order, just about everything comes smothered in green or red chile sauce as the photos from many... Know ahead of time, this is an excellent, well-priced dive. Fabulous chips and salsa. Nothing fancy, but good enough to have won a James Beard Award. Wonderfully nice and attentive wait staff and employees. Extremely accommodating with kids.
