Real food

No ambience, just great food. Sit under a tree on a picnic table and enjoy. Burritos and stuffed sopapilas a must.

I've been coming to this restaurant since I was in grade school. I haven't eaten there for a while, in the past it has always been very, very delicious... But not today - I ordered three items and they were so salty I couldn't even taste the food. Will never go back. And if you value you blood pressure don't... More

My mother worked here over 30 yrs ago & learned how to make stuffed sopapillas here. If you've never tried a stuffed sopapilla, you must visit this place so you can do so. They are stuffed with beans, lettuce, cheese & your choice of meat. They are huge so you need order only one. They also offer huge, tasty burritos... More

Visiting from out of town (Washington/Idaho), we were hoping to find an authentic, delicious Mexican restaurant, and we did! This place is not located in the best part of town, but don't let that deter you. The food was incredible (we got #1), and they even had some pretty nice outside seating. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking... More

The breakfast stuffed sopapilla is amazing. The area is a bit interesting, but the food is so tasty and fresh. Just make sure you have time for a nap after.

I grew up eating Mexican food in Southern California, and a good tamale is one of my favorite foods of all time. El Modelo nails it ... the perfect ratio of delicious pork and tasy corn, wrapped up and steamed in a corn husk. I ordered 2, we had drinks in the cooler, and we ate on the picnic tables... More

Historic building in the more industrial area of Albuquerque makes this place unique. It's not a sit-down place, nor does it have an extensive menu, but it has my favorite cheese enchiladas for sure! If you are not native New Mexican, you may want to ask for any of the chile sauces on the side because they can be hot... More

I'd like to preface this review with an apology. I was on the tripadvisor App and inadvertently gave the review from June 6th, 2015 a helpful vote. Not bashing someone else's review, just wanting to retract my helpful vote, I can't retract it on this site. Read the review yourself and draw your own conclusion. This food is the real... More
