I'll be Coming Back!;

I am just eating my dessert! Came here about 2pm for a late lunch. I decided on the chicken fried steak with eggs. It also came with "Range potatoes." I requested cream gravy rather than the chile one. Instead of the choice of toast, I subbed in biscuits and gravy, served with sausage gravy... read more

Not familiar with ABQ so asked at our hotel, who recommended the Range Cafe. Great choice for us. We shared the meatloaf, and it's a good thing or we'd still be there! Big portion, served with brown gravy & mushrooms, mashed potatoes and seasonal veg, which was broccoli, carrots & cauliflower, and not just boiled but well-seasoned & a little... More

Don't let the fact that The Range is in an old Denny's deter you. THe food is very good. THe menu has a great variety but New Mexico green chile makes it all better. I can't wait to return

We had been thinking of eating here on one of our visits to ABQ and decided that this was the time. We were seat quickly and our drink orders taken. My Wife had the Breakfast Burrito for Dinner, my Son had the New Mexico Mac & Cheese and I had the Matt’s ultimate Hoosier Parmesan breaded pork loin, topped with... More

Stopped by after reading TA reviews. Had the CFS, which was better than average with a nice gravy but the sides were blah even with the gravy on top. My server was very friendly and accommodating and the wine-based margarita took the edge off. If I were a local I would come back but I am a little disappointed that... More

We chose this restaurant because it was close to our hotel and it was definitely the right choice. While I chose a burger (served on a folded flour tortilla - I think I prefer the bun) which was delicious, my husband ordered their chicken fried steak and it was wonderful. Tender meat, breading was done perfectly and the gravy was... More

Went for breakfast. When ordering, we asked if the potatoes were gluten-free since I can't eat gluten. The waitress had no clue, so after taking our orders she went to ask the cook. Turns out they have gluten. What?! Breakfast is the easiest thing to make gluten free! Eggs+Potatoes = Gluten Free!! So, why do your potatoes have gluten? Anyway,... More

Really good food, great service. They make their own pastries and pies. The coconut cream pie is to die for!

Well not really . Denny's is not that good Range is real food and great service. Really good New Mexican and southwestern selections. A full bar too if you need that Bloody Mary or mimosa for breakfast. Big selection and good hueavos and adovado. Good green and red chile too. Always packed so you now everything is fresh and good.

A bit out of downtown Albuquerque, the Range Cafe is not on everyone's radar, but it is definitely worth tracking down. The food--a lot of it Southwest style--is amazingly good. The prices are modest and the service and decor are attentive and interesting. On a recent visit, our group had some wonderful huevos rancheros, chiles rellenos and amazing hamburgers and... More
