Gloomy, dark restaurant. Old gas station style restroom. Chicken was rare. Bullet holes in window. Ashtray on table on patio. On skid row.

Not fancy but worth a visit or two if you like good comfort food. I had pasta special with vegs and a side salad and root beer. Good prices and parking. A little bit of a drive on busy Central Ave. but not too far to go from airport hotels. Would go back. Staff said breakfast is most popular.

We were leaving Albuquerque/Sante Fe after a week's vacation where we tried to eat exclusively at Food Network show rated places. We stopped at Mannie's specifically to try the homemade cinnamon rolls and we were not disappointed. We did observe other patrons' plates and even asked a few about their dishes. I found no one who did not speak glowingly... More

Just ordered the largest and most delicious huevos rancheros with freshly squeezed orange juice that I've ever had. Service is friendly and fast. I'd come here again.

This is a hidden jewel in Albuquerque. The Chicken Fried Steak is authentic and as good as the City Cafe in Elgin Texas. The service was down-home friendly and created a real flash from the 50s when folks really cooked and, the Baklava Sundae is out of this world.

Lucky enough to stop by on summer festival night by chance when Route 66 was closed to traffic for an Arrested Development Concert and other such things (Yes, you're in your mid 30's if you know the band). Mannie's is right by the festival stage (listen in) with indoor and outdoor seating, inventive diner menu at a really, really decent... More

Stopped in for breakfast. I ordered the Breakfast Quesadilla. It was HUGE and was very good. Filled with roasted chili peppers and bacon & onions with scrambled eggs. I couldn't figure out how to eat it without making a mess so I choose to eat it open faced. It was very good. My husband had the basic scrambled eggs with... More

While driving thru town we stopped at Mannie's to eat. What a great experience. Albuquerque Summer Festival was going on next door so we expected service to be slow. Instead we had GREAT SERVICE, GREAT FOOD and a very nice and comfortable experience. Food was very reasonable priced, great tasting and our server was very pleasant and helpful and quick.... More

After a doctor's appointment at Presbyterian Hospital we headed for Mannie's Family Restaurant on Central on the suggestion of a friend. On a recommendation, my husband ordered the Pedro's Corned Beef Hash breakfast and I ordered an omelette. My husband said that the corned beef hash was tasty but not really his cup of tea. My omelette was just ordinary... More

We decided to give Mannie's a try. The coffee is weak but served with a smile. We ordered the "pile up on Central and Girard" with beans, two eggs and green chili on top of a heap of hash browns. It was a huge helping and quite tasty. Don't think Mannie's would make it to the 'must go back list'
