Great Vibe

Just what you'd expect in Los Ranchos de Albuquerque... a little trendy, a little hippie, but comfortable and easy either way. We sat on the patio under the giant cottonwoods. It was lovely. Everyone loved their food (can't remember what we all had, but everyone was pleased). The service was good... read more

While visiting Albuquerque a friend recommended this restaurant because it was pet friendly. It is located in a nice neighborhood and we were pleasantly surprised. We sat in the patio while waiting for our food. They have a variety of sandwiches, salads and serve breakfast all day long. We noticed our good was taking a long time. Finally I asked... More

We ate here on our arrival night trying the New Mexico burger which was really good and very greasy. Then a few days later we had a takeaway order of 3 salads. The chicken was over cooked and tough but still tasted fine. Overall, it is a good place to eat, but it is not fine dining. The outdoor dining... More

Pretty sad. Feel sorry for staff. Used to be a great place stop, place order to go and go. Not sure if this is the new normal but 2 Cobb salads and 2 deserts seemed to toss the place into a little havoc. 1/2 the oder was handed to me while the bagged half was incorrect.

Always have lots of well-prepared food, quickly served, and great coffee. A great place to come and watch people, or to study, or to hang out with a group. Besides, they allow well-behaved dogs in the outside petio.. A great place!

My friend and I both had the grilled cheese and loved it. They had a really good selection for vegetarians. We also enjoyed the outdoor patio seating. Although I didn't try any, the desserts looked delicious. I liked that you order at the counter and then pick your own seat. I will definitely be returning to this restaurant soon.

Went here for lunch and breakfast...both times great. We had quesadilla, eggs Benedict, egg white omelette, and a salad with chicken whose name I forget...all were delicious. Order at the counter, pick a seat and they bring you your order. Coffee, latte, sangria were terrific. Patio so nice and relaxing, great mix of customers. Price fair for the food you... More

The Rio Grande Flying Star is consistently good and has a nice atmosphere. We love to sit on the patio and enjoy the amazing NM weather! The outdoor fireplace is a nice treat. Our favorites are the Crave salad, green chili cheeseburger, and the enchiladas the large selection of desserts is quite a bonus. Nothing beats a glass of wine... More

This was a great option for a simpler fare the second night we were in Albuquerque. The menu was varied. I had the fish tacos and they were light and fresh - delicious! Lots of variety and everything was good. The atmosphere was bohemian casual = quite fun!

Great menu including Mexican and Southwestern cuisine. Excellent quality. Top notch desserts. Located on Rio Grande Blvd next to the Bookworks book store (a great place to browse before or after a visit to the Flying Star.
