There are an amazing number of fantastic food options in the Albuquerque area, but we keep coming back to the Flying Star over and over again. So many great choices and we can see why they are consistently rated as having the best desserts in the area!

We grabbed a bite to eat for lunch here right after flying into Albuquerque... The service was quick and we really enjoyed eating out on the patio! The food was good and there was a lot of healthy options to choose from!

I ordered the Athena salad; it was very disappointing. The greens were borderline wilted.Crunchy, creamy feta chunks looked like fried squares; they were overcooked. I ordered a Soy chicken patty. The flavor was o.k. but it was pretty dried out. The dressing was the best part of the salad and thank goodness I ordered it on the side. All in... More

I love the location, the atmosphere, and the very helpful staff, but the food is like its pastries: real pretty to look at but not special in any way. I live VERY close to this place, it is dog-friendly (and I have 3 dogs), a good bookstore is next door, and my sister lives right across the street, so the... More

Great desserts, and they've recently increased their vegetarian selections so we've begun dining there again.

We stopped by after we had gone to Sandia Peak Tramway to see the sunset. I had a deconstructed chicken pot pie-wow, really rich flavor. My husband had a chicken salad with was good but nothing special. We did go back two day later for a fast lunch, we split a green salad with kale, roasted cauliflower, quinoa, feta, plus... More

This is a restaurant I go almost 4 times a week for lunch, dinner and Sunday breakfast. Sometimes I go by myself, with my friends or with my husband and family. The staff is great, always friendly , accomodating and efficient. There is such a variety of salads and dishes. Of course, the desserts are delicious always. A fantastic place... More

As a regular customer of this Flying Star, I was disappointed in my quick stop there last week for a quick bowl of soup one afternoon. I stopped mid-afternoon during some apts and errands and did not have that much time, but needed a bite to eat before I went on to an end of the day apt. So I... More

I had breakfast yesterday at the Rio Grande location of Flying Star with a group of five women after a four mile walk of the shady acequias (irrigation ditches) in this rural area. We enjoyed eating outside in the ample patio under the cottonwood trees. I had the breakfast hash, a tasty and healthy combination of organic quinoa, crimini mushrooms,... More
