Still great Italian food!

It's been a while so it was time for our Italian food fix and a trek across the river. 11 ladies met for dinner, most of whom f aught traffic backups to get there. Accidents on Montano, Paseo and Alameda! I'm not kidding! All 3 were blocked for a time due to accidents. I guess it was worth it... read more

This is one of my favorite restaurants. The service is awesome and the food is great. And the prices are very reasonable. Excellent value for the price.

We hadn't eaten at Zios for several years as my husband and I try to support local businesses. However, friends were visiting who wanted to try it. The dining area is large and divided into three rooms with several tables in the bar area. I guess the décor is supposed to represent an Italian hacienda of sorts. It's very pleasant,... More

What looked to be a great Italian was a poor excuse of food and service. The greeting at the front door was. "We will clean a table for ya", The appetizer was heavily salted, The main dishes were very poor quality ingredients. Tasted like previously frozen pasta, chicken patty, canned sauce and uncooked veggies in a suppose to be a... More

Our Thursday Ladies chose a favorite, Zio's, for dinner last week. We were a large group of 12 so our waiter, Roger, had his hands full. I wasn't in the mood for marinara sauce so ordered a spicy shrimp dish. The spicy Alfredo Sauce was delicious! And the shrimp were plentiful and plump. We had some laughs over the Italian... More

First, they have a generous gluten free menu. The prep time for gluten free is a bit longer but it wasn't too long at all. The portions are large and the food was prepared very well. The seasoning is perfect! The fresh warm bread is an added bonus. We left with plenty of "left overs" for another meal. Our waiter... More

We held my sons wedding rehearsal supper at Zios. They had a separate room that would accommodate a large party. The atmosphere was great. The servers were friendly. The food was outstanding and their prices are extremely reasonable! I am looking forward to eating there again soon. They are my new favorite Italian restaurant! I can't say enough good things... Well, for $25 out the door (for two) we were served an enormous lunch of salad/soup, entree and pasta. First, the soup had to be returned since it was saturated with salt. Eggplant was freshly prepared but tomato sauce was much too tart. Again, way too much salt. The chicken marsala sauce was excessively sweet and buttery. I added an... More

The interior of the restaurant was dim and claustrophobic with no windows. I felt claustrophobic and somewhat trapped amidst the din of diners. There was a party room adjacent to us and a kid's birthday party was going on, so there was no semblance of a peaceful dinner after a long day of work. The service and food was OK,... More

The outside design is very authentic and inviting. Great decor inside. We normally like booths but the tables and chairs were very comfortable. Karla, our server, could not have been better; never had to ask for refills, she was there without hovering. All servers can write their names upside down and backwards - that alone is entertaining. The baked formaggio... More
