And I'm glad he did! Never had a real gyro before, just a not-so-reasonable facsimile. These things were great. Very tasty and filling. Staff was a bit standoffish, probably because there were 6 in our party and may have been unprepared for us. Only 2 people were working and the place was a little busy. Will definitely go again.

Really enjoyed a light Greek meal after all the New Mexican food. Very fresh and tasty. Loved the avgolemono soup. I imagine this place gets very crowded when school is in session, and rightfully so.

My wife and I had the saganaki and the gyro plates. Both were traditional and very good. We were fortunate to stop in on a slow Sunday afternoon, as I've heard they are extremely busy at times. The wait-staff was very friendly and accommodating. I would recommend trying the chok-lava (chocolate cover baklava sprinkled with chopped walnuts).

This has always been our "go to" spot for casual Greek/Mediterranean food, even though we drive 30-40 minutes from Rio Rancho to get it. It is right across the street (behind The Frontier) from UNM which makes it very convenient when visiting the university or attending Popejoy events. I love the Avgolemono soup with a Greek salad. The Gyro platter... More

My past reviews of this place still hold true on our last visit. The food was excellent again. We especially enjoyed the Greek Dolmas (stuffed grapevine leaves) along with the pita plate. The food was so good that the wife suggested that if we were ever told by a doctor that we couldn't have sex, we would just eat here...... More

The gyro and the falafel were both great. The hummus was bland despite the menu saying it was spicy. I've had tastier hummus from Walmart deli. The dolmas had a vinegar taste. I've never had Greek dolmas before, but an Iranian guy I used to work with would bring dolmas to work and it was much better. There are a... More

We had planned another dinner for our Friday night date, but remembered we hadn't been to Gyros in a while. Good pick! it was relatively quiet, and the food was excellent. We had the gyros plate, which is always great, and the chicken plate. The salads are always fresh and delicious. Iced tea refills were great. We weren't able to... More

Work at UNM so we walk to this place frequently, probably at least once a month. Love the spanakopita and greek salad. Consistently good food and service at reasonable prices. Nice casual atmosphere near campus.

This is one of those meet ya there for myself and friends. The food is good and we can always sit and visit without struggling to hear each other over others. It is one I love their Chocolate Baklava so save room.

This restaurant is somewhat tucked away though right in the middle of the University of New Mexico student area. The food is consistently good, flavorful, and a welcome change from the ubiquitous Mexican restaurants and usual mediocre fare. The place itself is pleasantly quiet, unobtrusively decorated and presents as clean and tidy. Be sure to have the homemade potato chips.... More
