Good to Great New Mexican

Locals and visitors all love this place. It's a family friendly fixture in Old Town, with a broad menu focusing on traditional New Mexico-style cooking. Prices are reasonable, service is very good, chips are fresh, the salsa is just spicy enough and the refried beans are the real thing. Can't... read more

My family brought me here so I could experience true New Mexican food. It was honestly the best food I've ever put in my mouth. Loved it.

We always stop here when in Albuquerque, the food is unique and authentic for the area. The Enchiladas are to die for, with special sauce treatment and seasonings that I haven't had anywhere else. It is especially fine being in the Old Town area, with so many restaurants and cafes to choose from Anita's is a real standout. I highly... More

On the edge of old town Albuquerque, nice place to get a sample of red and or green chili. I got both. Friendly service, good food.

We stopped in for lunch while travelling through this city. The restaurant has been around for 40 years, and much of the interior likely hasn't changed much in that time. It was all clean and tidy though, but nothing special. The staff were very friendly and helpful, so that was a plus. The food was average in quality. I had... More

My husband and I had a very good dinner at Little Anita's several years ago and since we were going to be in Old Town, decided to try it for breakfast. The first thing we noticed is that the interior has been completely remodeled. It's bright and cheerful and maintains a strong Southwestern influence. Tables have been replaced by comfortable... We ordered two breakfast burritos to go from here, after checking out of Hotel Albuquerque. I got the egg, cheese and red chile, and my partner got the same thing except with green chile. They were delightful! $7 for the both of them, a super friendly young lady working the to go counter, I highly recommend this place. Thank you!

Are here for dinner, long trip from NC to Albuquerque, just what we needed! Food was good, service was a little slow but worth the wait.

Let's just say our waitress was so slow in bringing our water we found ourselves looking longingly at the other patron's drinks. It didn't get much better from there. She seemed like a nice person, but I don't think waitressing is a good career choice. My other complaint is there were no a la cart options on the menu- my... More

What a huge disappointment! The taco salad was mostly lettuce. The hamburger amounted to a couple of forkfuls. I certainly did not want a taste of meat to go with a head of iceberg lettuce in a tortilla bowl. It was truly the most pathetic taco salad I have ever had the misfortune to order. As for the chips and... More
