We went through Albq on a weeknight in Feb '09 and I remembered this from when I was there on a business trip. For those not acquainted with New Mexico food, this is so much better than what you get in Az, Ca, Co.. There may be better places, but the place has atmosphere and we enjoyed the food. The... more

Just visited Albuquerque and had lunch at El Pinto. The outdoor patio is wonderful! An outdoor fireplace was also lit and was lovely. The chile was hot, spicy and delicious. Great place to take a group. more

Went to this restaurant with a friend who highly recommended it, but I was not impressed with the food. It's a large place with attractive dining rooms and outdoor patios for dining. Though the restaurant was very crowded, our wait wasn't too long - enough time to enjoy a first margarita at the bar (margarita pretty good for something that... more

I have cousins in Albuquerque and they turned me on to El Pinto years ago. It's their favorite New Mexican restaurant, and now it's mine too. Every time I visit I go there. The weekday lunch buffet is excellent. All you can eat of the best food. Last time I went (May 09) the buffet choices didn't seem as extensive... more

Decided to try this restaurant due to seeing it in the Albuquerque City visitors guide. We fully expected it to be in the "touristy" category. It was a really beautiful restaurant. The place is huge and has nice patios. We went with three adults and 3 kids. The food was good, I've had better Mexican food elsewhere, but we did... more

Living now on its former reputation, but is has gone way down hill. If you are from out of town, you will probably like it, not knowing any better, but there are better places out there! more

The restaurant is beautiful and the waitstaff was great, but the food was just average. Paid much more than it was worth. more

After hearing from a few people that we should try Sadie's restaurant, we walked in there and turned right around. it was FILLED with childred and felt like a '"Chuck-E-Cheese" with diner chairs and bad service starting at the hostess stand. We left right away (I'm sure it would have been good food if we were looking for a convenient... more

Thought it would be nice to have Easter brunch at El Pinto with my family that drives an hour away. Upon arrival, the parking lot was full of small lakes and holes that had to be driven around. I overlooked it since the weather was bad but will touch on it later. We were seated in "patio like" room that... more

This place use to be serve pretty good Mexican food, but it has declined throughout the years. The atmosphere is great but it's pretty expensive for quality of food being served. C'mon $15 or so for a combination plate - there's a lot more better Mexican restaurants for half that price in Albuquerque. Very disappointed with the waiter and the... more
