Lamb Shish Kabob cooked to perfection!

I loved that there was plenty of free parking behind this place since it is in the busy Nob Hill section of downtown Albuquerque near the UNM campus. I was told by a local to go there for lunch. The Lamb shish kabob on the specials menu was cooked perfectly. It was served over red swiss chard and... read more

A friend and I were in Albquerque for the day to do some shopping. We decided to have a late lunch at Yanni's and we were starving! The restaurant is clean but shows signs of age and lack of maintenance. A lot could be done to improve the appearance and ambience although the garden room with the sunlight streaming in... More

I will caveat immediately this by saying my parents' meals were apparently delicious. They had the filet and the pork chop and both were well done (and which is all that is saving this from a one-star review). I thought I'd branch out a little and try the special - acorn squash with seafood. This was a HORRIBLE idea. I... More

We have not been to Yanni's for about 7 or 8 years. The food was not particularly memorable. The quality and presentation of the dishes was very unreliable and the service was almost nonexistent. Fot some reason we decided to try it again and were again disappointed. Our dinners were nothing to write home about and quite expensive for what... More

This place was recommended by a local business colleague. Best thing is the ambiance. Food was very good but nothing incredible. Calamari was nice. Lamb chops were very good but did not knock my socks off. Latte was great and creme Brule was standard. If in area worth going.

Late lunch was excellent but served with a sense that our group really did not belong there. The cuisine is outstanding, presentation excellent and all the dishes were quite tasty. We were, however, greeted with the notice that we had 25-minutes to order. Huh? This was around 3 pm and the restaurant moves seamlessly from lunch to dinner, so what... More

My wife and I stopped here on our way from Florida to California and had a delightful meal. The Saganaki was great, the lamb chops were done to perfection, and the atmosphere was just right. Having eaten at a number of Greek restaurants from Montreal to Tarpon Springs, this place did not disappoint. We hope we find another place as... More

This is one of the few and probably best Greek restaurants in Albuquerque. The food is pricy but it is worth it! The meals are good sized portions and flavorful. There are also not-so-Greek items on the menu, but still have a Grecian flare to them. Would come back.

We had lunch here and were really looking forward to a hard core Greek lunch. Unfortunately, it's mostly the appetizers that are Greek and mostly all the entrees are not so Greek. My Gyro sandwich was a disappointment, being rather lukewarm and not as fully packed with meat as most other Gyro's I've had at other restaurants, and the meat... More

I had a good meal at Yanni's on Central Avenue in Albuquerque. It is a good sized open space with the bar area separated from the main dining room. (One good thing is that it has it's own parking lot entered directly to the east of the restaurant.) The food was very good and abundant. The hummus appetizer included a... More
