We had never been to Asian Cafe before. It was a Saturday night around 6:00 so we were surprised to find only a couple other cars in the parking lot. As a matter of fact, we thought the place was closed. But we would soon find out why. As soon as we walked in, we were hit with a horrible... More

Not recommended. Empty restaurant, should have been a clue. Served quickly, but dish not fully cooked. Chicken and hard rice effected my opinion. When I mentioned this to the waitress she told the preparer (not a cook), and she stated that's the way the rice is suppose to be...tell my molars.

I live near this place in a typical strip mall. We had a Groupon opportunity. So, how bad can it be? Well, I dabble in SE Asian cooking as a gringo and suffice to say, this place is maybe the worst restaurant I have been to in the USA and whoever is the alleged "chef", well, I walk circles around... I've eaten there twice and loved it, but I have gone to this restaurant two times in the past week for lunch and they've been closed. No sign on the door or anything. Very inconsiderate way to treat their customers. Their hours are still posted that they open at 11 a.m. Have a Groupon I need to use by the... More

This place has it all. I love their hot and sour soup, and my parents really like the wonton soup. I usually order the cashew chicken and it does not disappoint. Takeout and delivery are always fast and courteous.

This is the best Chinese food in Albuquerque due to the fresh ingredients and great recipes. The atmosphere is soothing and the staff makes you feel at home. I highly recommend!

For ages, I have been a fan of Chow's, typically visiting the one at Cottonwood Mall a few times each month. Lately, the food has gone downhill. Way down the hill. Just tonight, I ordered Hot and Sour soup, Hong Kong Noodles, and Shrimp with Green Beans. These are my 'standard' dishes, and they used to be prepared to perfection.... More

Maybe this place has changed hands as it is now called Asian Cafe. This is 1st chinese restaurant that I tried in NM and it was very mediocre. Had beef in black bean sauce with bok choy- most of the beef was so tough as to be inedible. Tea costs extra instead of coming with meal!

The dishes at Chow's are tasty and I have always had an excellent experience with the service I have received there. The atmosphere is also very well kept and pleasant for both couples and families. I think the hot and sour soup is very good and among the best in the local area. The lunch specials are well done but... More
