all with a delicious Americanized serving size and flavor. Order 3 dishes for 4 or 5 people. Otherwise, you will be bringing some home, which is not a bad thing. New take on coconut shrimp. Excellent beef pho. Very good noodle dishes.

My Thursday Ladies and I chose Basil Leaf for dinner last week. Only a couple of us had eaten there before. The restaurant is a small cozy nicely decorated place with nice ambiance. We tried different entrees - I chose the shrimp and Vermicelli bowl with egg roll. It was delicious! The grilled pork was a bit overcooked but the... More

I was looking for a new restaurant and found Basil Leaf with very high ratings from other diners. I went one evening with a friend and was still astounded with the surroundings and service even though I had an idea it would be good. The restaurant is understated and elegantly peaceful and serene and the service is excellent. I ordered... More

I'm vacationing in ABQ and decided to try this place based on trip advisors recommendation. Food was excellent and staff VERY friendly. Be careful if you order the pho because it comes in 3 sizes... I ordered the large... It was HUGE!! My brother got the claypot which was unique as well as savory and succulent. Entire family was happy... More

We eat a lot of Vietnamese food - a lot - and I veered away from my regular dish, not totally willingly. The waiters (yes, two) offered light-heartedly that I not adapt a dish to be vegan, but try a different type of tofu vermicelli. I went for it and oh boy!! Both M and I loved our dishes. Great... This is the first time I have been to this restaurant. The owner told me that they have been in business for 5 years. It looks like they have lots of repeat business. I loved both the food and the atmosphere. The owner will do anything to please her customers, and will adjust the menu to fit your needs/desires.

Vietnamese food is a little like meatloaf... just about anyone can make it good, but not just another can make it amazing. Basil Leaf does amazing Vietnamese cuisine.Service is spot-on: attentive without being intrusive. Our food arrived quickly and was piping hot. Portions were generous. I had the Green Curry with shrimp. It may just be the best curry I... More

First of all, this restaurant has the cleanest restrooms I've ever seen at a restaurant and that speaks volumes as to the cleanliness of the kitchen. The staff is friendly, the seating area is spotless and well-presented, and the menu is full of interesting Vietnamese dishes. I had the Ginger Catfish the last time I was there and although there... This spot is great for a quick, healthy, and filling lunch. The menu has plenty of options, service was very friendly and quick, and the food was delicious. After one too many green chile coered burritos from La Salita next door, I needed something that wasn't a calorie bomb but would still fill me up. I had the Hu Tieu... More
