Great Tasting Pizza but Slow Service

This little restaurant serves five-star food, but the slow service and uncaring attitude of the wait staff is frustrating.

I know I've reviewed previously but as far as good Italian in NM it's a rarity. Lucas serves a spaghetti, meatball and marinara that is the closest to my grandmothers that I've had dining out....at least here in NM. The meatball sub, Italian burger, kale salad with salmon/shrimp, the side of pasta salad even the pizzas you can't go wrong... More

We ALWAYS have to share the Antipasto...an amazing assortment of meats, cheeses, olives, fruit, etc...Just delicious! Then, we either share one of their amazing pizzas or a pasta dish. This time we had the MAC & CHEESE PIZZA! Oh! my goodness! Now before you go poo pooing it (especially if you haven't tried it), let me tell you that I'm... More

If you can tear yourself away from pizza, you're in for a treat with the other delicious offers on hand at this charming place. I had the fettuccini alfredo with scallops and it was as good or better than I had when I lived in New Orleans! Fresh and delicioso! The place is small but neat and comfortable with a... More

From the moment we walked in, the service was great. The restaurant has a nice cozy atmosphere. We all got pizzas, and the margherita pizza was nice with fresh basil leaves. The waitress was honest, telling us what she liked and which lemon dessert she wouldn't recommend. Just overall a refreshing place. I'd go back tomorrow.

I have had pizza and salads here many times, and really enjoy the food. It's not a very big place, so it can feel crowded. Good beer too! The service is typically excellent.

The restaurant is easy to miss but should not be missed. It is a local favorite with good reason. Food served includes pizza, salads, soup and sandwiches. Food is well-priced. The owner, Richard is around to make sure guests are properly served. We were waited on by Casey who was well-trained, well-informed and gracious. We each had a sliced steak... More

Our friends took us here on a recent trip to ABQ. It is right around the corner from their house and they come here often. We were also with their three younger kids. The atmosphere is casual, classic, cool Italian kind of place. The waitstaff was very friendly and attentive. The food was really good. I had the Arugula Salad... More

Tucked away in a strip mall in NE Abq you would miss this place if you didn't know about it. Make the trip. The staff is above average, and really seems to give toot about providing conscientious, but not overbearing service. Even looks like they have a head waiter that helps move things along on the line. Kudos! Wine and... More

Luca's has good wine and good food. I forget the name of the salad I ordered, but it was basically an enormous antipasto plate on top of a huge bed of lettuce. It was super yummy, as was the actual antipasto plate that my mother ordered. We've been a few times and always sit at the bar, as it's more... More
