Excellent mexican food and service

We went to El Bruno for lunch on Saturday for the very first time. I had breakfast burrito with red chili, my husband had beef enchilada. My burrito was huge with tasty red chili. I had to ask for more. Enchilada was nicely done. Their salsa had a good kick, not overly hot, love it. We will... read more

I had one the $7.95 lunch specials and it couldn't have been more tasty. The seasoning was exceptional and I will return the next time I am visiting or on work assignment.

11 of us went to El Bruno for dinner after going to Albuquerque Little Theater. I was looking forward to some good Mexican food. I ordered the Cubano Combination Plate as did 2 others. My one friend had the Tostado Plate and liked it. The burrito plate was proclaimed to be good. But those of us who had the combination... More

Driving to another restaurant and thought about giving this a try. Everyone was friendly and the tacos were great. Everyone at the table was happy with the food. Server was nice and attentive though he seemed a little new to it all. My one thing is the dining room on the north side is like some converted patio with a... More

Three of us went to El Bruno's for dinner. This was my first time. We didn't have a reservation and were seated quickly in the dimly lighted dining room. t ordered the Carnitas - A La Mex. The rolled cheese enchiladas were cold and unappetizing. The steak was good, when properly seasoned. And, you can't hurt the beans. Then, the... More

We were headed to Sadies but decided to try El Bruno's because we had a good experience in Cuba. Terrible service. Waited ten minutes to be seated. Waited 15 minutes to take our order. Waited nearly an hour for food. Waiter explained they were busy with a party. Will not return.

The food was ok but the service was so bad I wouldn't go back. The waiter was MIA, so no water, refills, etc. management must be asleep.

Had dinner hear with a couple of friends. In many ways it is a typical New Mexican restaurant and you can get similar food all over town. But, the chile here was quite good, with a bit of a bite--not the bland chile that is served in many places to placate the tourist palate. The margaritas are quite large and... More

We have enjoyed the El Bruno's in Cuba when we are traveling in NW NM and were thrilled to learn there was a location right here in ABQ! The atmosphere did not disappoint and there is a nice patio which we enjoyed. We had an excellent server who made up our guacamole at our table. All of our entrees were... More
