My husband and I have eaten dozens of times at El Brunos in Albuquerque. We have also eaten at the El Brunos in cuba, and we think the Albuquerque location has superior food. Service is always excellent, lunch or dinner: we are always greeted at the entrance and promptly seated, then a server brings us menus and salsa and chips.... More

Right from the spicy salsa and guacamole dip, this place is very extraordinary. I think one can order food here blindfolded and still can not go wrong.I like the enchilada particularly

This gem is tucked away in Los Ranchos de Albuquerque, just north of Paseo del Norte on the east side of 4th Street. El Bruno's started in Cuba, NM, and took over this space a while back. The food is authentic New Mexico cuisine and is quite good. The margarita's are excellent and nothing is expensive. Portions are generous and... More

Fantastic venue for happy hour gathering on the patio! There's often a mariachi band to provide live tunes while sipping margaritas and chowing yummy foodies.

We went here on the advice of some local friends. I got the Hazel's Special Chicken with fried spinach. The chile sauce in this dish is one of the best things that I have ever eaten, and the fried spinach was good, sort of like very thin fried veggie chips. My wife got Hazel's Chile, which was not nearly as... More

Hidden Gem in the $12 - $15 per plate category. Add drinks or margaritas and your meal for two can start getting pricey. The food is fresh, service is great, atmosphere is decorated nicely, tables are clean, and it has an authentic New Mexico taste. There are a lot of choices on the menu and you won’t be disappointed if... More

We were in Albuquerque for the Thanksgiving holidays and ate at El Bruno's on the Wednesday before and the Friday after Thanksgiving. The food is absolutely amazing. I had seen a review for the restaurant from an Albuquerque restaurant reviewer that said that the Pinon Crusted Rainbow Trout was to die for and so we went there to experience this... More

The Green Chile at this Gem of a restaurant is worthy of great praise! With Green Chile being New Mexicos prized ingredient it goes without saying that we locals take it serious. This chile is roasted to perfection and has a hint of garlic and great quality salt. Their spicy chicken makes me think back to my childhood. It is... More

From the outside, it doesn't look very impressive, but the size of the parking area should tell you it can hold quite few diners. The large brass Chili handle on the door is a sign of the wonderful New Mexican food you will find arriving on your table in a short time from when you order. The outdoor patio is... More
