Much better this time around

We've been to El Bruno's in Cuba many times, and always enjoyed it. So were excited when this place opened. We first ate there no long after it had opened, and had vowed not to come back. Slow service, overpriced and moderate fare. But we came back about a week ago and are glad we did. First... read more

For some of the best food in Albuquerque, do yourself a favor and make your way to El Bruno's in Albuquerque or make the drive up to Cuba to the original site for a real treat! Pollo Con Pinos is my favorite and I have it each visit. I would easily drive an hour out of my way to eat... More

This restaurant has the best Carne Adovada in Albuquerque. We eat there approximately once a week and the food is always great. My wife is very fond of the margaritas also. Only small complaint I would have is some servers don't always keep the iced tea full.

We went to El Bruno for lunch on Saturday for the very first time. I had breakfast burrito with red chili, my husband had beef enchilada. My burrito was huge with tasty red chili. I had to ask for more. Enchilada was nicely done. Their salsa had a good kick, not overly hot, love it. We will definitely come back... More

I had one the $7.95 lunch specials and it couldn't have been more tasty. The seasoning was exceptional and I will return the next time I am visiting or on work assignment.

11 of us went to El Bruno for dinner after going to Albuquerque Little Theater. I was looking forward to some good Mexican food. I ordered the Cubano Combination Plate as did 2 others. My one friend had the Tostado Plate and liked it. The burrito plate was proclaimed to be good. But those of us who had the combination... More

Driving to another restaurant and thought about giving this a try. Everyone was friendly and the tacos were great. Everyone at the table was happy with the food. Server was nice and attentive though he seemed a little new to it all. My one thing is the dining room on the north side is like some converted patio with a... More

Three of us went to El Bruno's for dinner. This was my first time. We didn't have a reservation and were seated quickly in the dimly lighted dining room. t ordered the Carnitas - A La Mex. The rolled cheese enchiladas were cold and unappetizing. The steak was good, when properly seasoned. And, you can't hurt the beans. Then, the... More

We were headed to Sadies but decided to try El Bruno's because we had a good experience in Cuba. Terrible service. Waited ten minutes to be seated. Waited 15 minutes to take our order. Waited nearly an hour for food. Waiter explained they were busy with a party. Will not return.

The food was ok but the service was so bad I wouldn't go back. The waiter was MIA, so no water, refills, etc. management must be asleep.
