Food was better than the beer

My wife and ordered the fish and chips plus the gumbo with Shri p added. The gumbo was delicious with a nice spice kick. I enjoyed the fish that had a nice fry and fresh taste along with the beer battered fries. I tasted some the nachos and chicken Chicharones that were pretty good. I sampled... read more

William, wish you'd enjoyed the brews as much as the bites! I'll let the kitchen know that the gumbo was a big hit along with your fish. Noticed you're a local, so hopefully we'll get to see you again and get another chance to find you a favorite beer. Cheers, Ken More

My husband and I had dinner at Nexus Brewery. I ordered the southern fried chicken breasts with the mash potatoes and requested green beans instead of collard greens. My husband had the BBQ pulled pork sandwich with beer battered fries. We also ordered the mac and cheese, since the waitress said it was really good. The entire meal was so... More

Tilly, you'll have to come back to pick up where you left off with the Mac & Cheese! Thanks a ton for recommending us so highly to others after this first visit. Not sure where you're from, but I really hope there's a second. Cheers, Ken More

Apparently the fish is called swai, but no matter if you order it grilled or southern fried (I ordered half and half), ur us excellent. Service is excellent and the beer good too.

Nexus is a fun and vibrant establishment, offering a simple menu of incredibly well prepared food. The fried chicken and mashed potatoes are magnificent, as are the pork enchiladas. For a variety of the tasty selections, order some of the small sides. Also, save some room for the delectable bread pudding.

"Magnificent" has to be one of the best words you could use in a review for us. Thanks for busting out the big guns -- I'll be passing on your compliments to the kitchen when I get a chance! Be sure to let us know next time if there's anything in particular we could improve for you that would make... More

We wanted to try something different and ended up at Nexus Brewery. What a great choice! I tried the "Q's" Wit, similar to Blue Moon and hubby found a new favorite - IPA. Hubby had the Fried Chicken and Waffles and I had Open Faced Chicken Enchiladas. Both were excellent. And portion sizes were perfect. Our waitress was exceptional. I'd... More

Too much hype for the place. The food wasn't that good. The chicken was dry. I was ignored since the minute I walked in. The girls that worked there looked like they couldn't keep up. I did enjoy the beer. Good place to drink or try some craft beer but I visited other breweries in Albuquerque with better prices &... More

I'm really disappointed to hear that you didn't feel taken care of while you were here, Jesus. Training is serious business, so I would never want the team to seem underwhelmed -- it sounds like maybe we'd lost a server or two that day to unforeseen circumstances. As for the food, our chicken should always be moist -- that's our... More

Enjoyed a quick dinner here with our girls on a long road trip. We enjoyed the different kind of beers which let me taste before I made my choice. My husband got the chicken and waffles and thought it was great!

Was on a roadtrip from Richmond, Va to Goodyear, Az. Albuquerque, Nm was on the way and I was excited to stop and try something spicy! Found this place on the FoodNetwork app and it had pretty decent reviews, but not gonna lie, it was the pictures that got me to stop here. It was a little hard to find,... More

I saw this on the TV Foodmaps app and was really happy we tried it. My friend is a beer snob and loves breweries and she was really impressed. The beer she had was really good and so was her burger. But my fish tacos were amazing. You can get them grilled or fried and I got half grilled and... More

Appreciate y'all too coming out for a bite and some brews! Always feels good to hear that a true beer snob enjoyed the place. Hopefully we'll get to see you back here for more fish tacos next time you're in town -- say the word! Cheers, Ken More
