We stopped in at Nexus while we were visiting ABQ for the beer (which is great) but came back again a few days later for the food. Everyone in our party really enjoyed the meals. They serve a style of soul food with a signature Duke City green chile kick. You will not be disappointed by the beer, food or... More

The staff was very friendly and courteous. Food was delicious and served with in a very reasonable time frame. Fun atmosphere. You could tell everyone there was enjoying their food. I had the fried fish which was perfect! The chicken and waffles was on a lot of tables and my daughter had it too. It was also very good. The... More

I had been to Nexus once before, but just for a beer. I had been craving good fried chicken and have been disappointed in most of my recent attempts- even in Harlem! I was cautiously optimistic since at least Nexus's fried chicken is bone-in. I ordered the two-piece option and the regular waffle with butter and syrup. You can get... More

I love hearing that the chicken and waffles were nothing short of heavenly, but I hate that the syrup took away from the experience! I'll keep your feedback in mind as we make changes in the future. As for the service, thanks for letting me know that my team enhanced the visit. We can't wait to have you back, either... More

Read about this place in a tourist paper, specializing in comfort food. Very eclectic place in a brewery with an industrial décor. Fortunately we were seated in what appears to be a more quiet add-on semi patio. I had the burger which was excellent, and even more excellent were the beer batter fries which were sampled by the table. Of... More

Sorry to hear that the service seemed sluggish. You mentioned that the patio was a quiet alternative to inside, which makes me think we were maybe full. Regardless, we want to be able to keep up no matter how busy we are, so thanks for saying something. That said, I appreciate your compliments about the burger and fries! We'd love... More

This is a great spot in Albuquerque I can't believe there aren't more reviews. The menu is quite varied including some southern favorites. We thought the servings were big and the nacho's were huge! Not only that but all the food we had tasted GREAT! Add in very attentive service and Nexus is a winner. We wish we had one... More

I have to agree that the nachos are basically a small mountain on a plate, Bob. Great to hear that everything you tried tasted awesome and that the service was attentive. Make us a stop next time you head west! Cheers, Ken More

My friends and I were in Albuquerque for the Balloon Festival and went here on the recommendation of the desk clerk at the Best Western right next door. In fact, we liked it so much we went on Friday night and back again on Saturday. I had the fish tacos Friday and they were great - grilled, well-seasoned fish and... More

I'm glad we were able to impress a Midwesterner with our food, even if it was a little odd for you to see chicken and waffles together! The fried chicken and cracklin' cornbread waffle are both excellent choices, and I'm happy to hear they hit the spot for you. Thanks for giving our place a try while you were visiting... More

Check out this spot tucked into the back of an business park off I-25. Within walking distance of Best Western Hotel. Staff very friendly and good beer with excellent Southern Soul Food Classics, (i.e. Chicken & Waffles, Red Beans & Rice, Catfish, Fried Okra). I would go again!
