Tim's Place

Great location for the $$ dining experience. They have a good selection of sandwiches and local faire. Tim is a young man with Down's Syndrome who runs the restaurant. His job is to issue hugs and he does a great job. Very nice feel good experience and a good bargain as well.

We arrived about 11 on Sunday morning. We were greeted and seated immediately. Our server was busy at another table, yet we were waited on in less than 5 minutes. I ordered coffee, and to my amazement they brought me a bowl with 12 to 15 individual creamers in it! At other restaurants I have to ask for more than... More

I ate here on a Saturday morning. And we all ordered breakfast food. I have to say the menu has good offerings and the price was nice, especially given the portion size. We all ordered the Olympian Breakfast which came with eggs, bacon, sausage, ham, pancakes, hash browns, fruit, and toast. But if I'm being really honest, the food is... More

I took my mom here because we had seen it on food network. Tim is GREAT! The food not so much. In fact, if not for the amazing story and the great staff, I probably would have rated this as "poor". We ordered the fried green tomatoes with jalapeno ranch and it was so greasy.....yuck. The jalapeno ranch was inedible... More

This restaurant has ALWAYS been on my 'to do' list, but finally my husband Barry and I made time to go and check it out!!! Tim Harris (like, you know, the 'Tim' of Tim's Place) greets you at the front with a huge hug and I tell ya, it turned my attitude around 180 degrees. Barry ordered the Happy Day... More

We went one morning for breakfast. Food was good. Was nice to see Tim there who came over to thank us for visiting - where else do you get that? Good food, good service, free hugs in a beautiful location. What more do you want?

This restaurant is proudly owned by Tim, a charming young man with Downs Syndrome (look him up...you'll find stories all over the web). Our party of four had the distinct pleasure of spending time with the owner, Tim, for about 1/2 hour while we were at his place for breakfast. Being somewhat of a celebrity, as we finished out time... More

the food is average. So sorry to see the high ratings based on emotion. It's great to see Tim & all that he has accomplished, but I want delicious food when I dine out.

We were passing through (MS to UT), and I wanted to try a local restaurant to get a taste of New Mexico cuisine. We decided to stop at Tim's Place for breakfast. We didn't have time to read reviews, but it was ranked #2 on TripAdvisor in Albuquerque (how can you go wrong?). The restaurant was very clean and tidy,... More
