We've been here many times - primarily for lunch, but we've also enjoyed dinner here, too. First time we were intimidated by others' reviews of the owner being somewhat rude. We've never had a negative experience. The owner is knowledgeable and courteous. The food (this time we ordered octopus pie, duck salad, and roasted tomato soup) was wonderful and portion... More

This is not a food chain, it is all home made, and off the beaten path, so you will have to take your time if you dine here (worth a try). Service is terrible, our waiter was very nice to us, but slow, and it was half empty around 5/6 p.m. It seemed the neighborhood locals who came in had... More

I am an Albuquerque resident and have been going to Torinos for business lunches for years. Business lunch for me is mostly about damage control on caloric intake so I've generally limited myself to salads. I've always thought the menu looked a bit pricey but after having gone there for dinner I have to say that the value quotient is... More

The first food I had from Torino's was a butternut squash ravioli prepared for a cooking demonstration at the harvest festival at the Hubble House. It was incredible. A week later I had takeout from Torino's, but couldn't make it to the actual restaurant (that same ravioli, only this time a full serving instead of just a taste.) That dish... More

Having viewed the Diner Drive Inns & Dives episode featuring this restaurant I was already prepared for the normal triple D experience... More emphasis on the food and preparation than the ambience. As many others have stated the food was quite good but the service was average or below par. The server did not offer any comment on wine vintage,... More

My favorite restaurant for family celebrations: the dishes are always tasty with subtle emphasis on unusual combinations. The chef has a fine palette and no doubt tastes his own recipes. It's unlike any other restaurant in Albuquerque. Service is friendly and a mix of formal with informal styles.

I love my wife's cooking. Torino's @ home uses spices in the same fashion and couples that with beautifully cooked meats and delicious homemade pastas. The bread was great. My friend had the gnocchi which were light and flavorful. My wife got the pasta in squid ink that was as delicious as anything in Venice. I will go back there... More

My hubby and I went for lunch on a Saturday. It wasn't a busy time and perhaps only a third of the tables were occupied. We ordered the tomato soup which was yummy. My hubby had the lasagna which was tasty. I had a pasta Gorgonzola dish which was bland and had no taste. My other complaint is we were... More

The food is soooo good! I started off with the goat cheese salad - not just a few pieces, but 2 spoonfulls with crostini on side, so yummy! Then had ravioli with meat that is cooked for 5 hours, so tender! Highly recommend this place!

Went to this restaurant hoping for a high quality Italian meal. The first turn off was the lack of atmosphere. I don't mind it's location in a strip mall, but the ambiance, or the lack thereof, was obvious right away. The next grim moment came when we walked in, and the first sign we saw said, "no outside food or... More
