What a delightful surprise this restaurant turned out to be. We were traveling down I95 and stopped for the night in Petersburg, and the choices for dinner were limited. We checked on Trip Advisor and found this restaurant. Finding the restaurant itself was a little challenging ,as it is off a little side street. The restaurant was quite busy (... More

We have been taking longer breaks for meal on long trips. We are looking for great restaurants close (5-10 minutes) to freeways. The food is fresh, seasonal, local and well prepared. The Lamb Bolognese was uncreditable and the mushroom soup awesome. The service was prompt and well-informed. Visiting this restaurant adds 30 minutes to our 8 hour trip but it... More

Great looking place. Food was just okay, and service was slow. It was really packed that night and we were hungry. Had a hard time getting the staff away from the loud party tables to take our order

Great little Pub, with tons of atmosphere. Locally owned by a great family. Menu consists of foods typical of original English Pubs. Great selection of micro and domestic brews. Great, friendly bartender.

My wife and I have wanted to visit this restaurant for some time now. We live two hours away in Durham, North Carolina, but were passing through on the way home from a football game in Richmond. We were greeted and seated immediately upon entry and that was only the beginning of some awesome service. Our drinks were served immediately,... More

Not only was this a unique find, the food and service was excellent. Timing of the waitstaff was spot on. The food was amazing. The fish was fresh. Save room for the home made desserts. Nice touch when the chef touched the table to see how everything was.

We are always on the lookout for a restaurant that has character and great food. The historical building is a great setting and the food and service were excellent. The menu is diverse, creative, moderately priced, and has a very nice wine list as well as craft beers on tap. The truffle fries with truffle aioli was a delicious starter.... More

Have had a few meals here and the beers are outstanding. The location is a must as its like stepping back in time. Your walking on the same cobblestones as famous predecessors and the elements who helped actually form the nation. Not bad for good fare, beer and history. Give it a shot, you will not be disappointed. My neighbors... More

Delightful and To Die For are not ways I like to describe any place I visit, but I can't help it with this place. Very nice establishment but it was above my level in cuisine. This is actually a compliment for those who like places such as this, and I understand the great reviews. I had the Eggs Chesapeake which... More
