Hands down- a must for everyone

First time- you're a visitor. Second time- you're family. The staff and owners are lovely and I miss my regular spot at the bar. The food is incredible and if the crab bisque is on the menu- get it. Place is as full of regulars as it is tourists and people wait an hour to be seated. I recommend... read more

We visited with our family on 6/10. The chorizo chips were amazing and the steak with bleu cheese was outstanding. Our 4 year old loved the pasta with butter. Overall, a unique atmosphere and a great experience.

We stopped by here for lunch and are glad we did. First, the restaurant is quite quaint with exposed brick walls, one "bar" room with tables and one more proper table room. My wife tried the fish n chips ( $13), 2 pieces of white cod filet lager battered. It was tasty if a bit scant in portion, 2 pieces.... More

This place is full of charm. It's very small, but that adds to the appeal. It has an English Pub feel to it and has a full bar. The food is delicious. Wonderful place for celebrations or to catch up with friends.

My brother's meal, Fish 'n' Chips was O.K. mostly 'chips' very little fish. My cousin and I ordered the Shepard's Pie which was a bowl of extremely salty mashed potatoes with some dried meat, and I think some vegetables underneath. I ate one forkful and quickly washed it down with a beer. My cousin tried to labor through his, but... More

My wife and I ate dinner here on April 15, 2015. The food was good, and our server, Sara H, was pleasant. It's right in Old Town. Interesting building.

Stayed in Petersburg overnight on our way from NY to Hilton Head. We prefer to dine at a "local" place rather that one of the chain restaurants so often near the hotels. The Brickhouse was lovely, from the cobblestone alley to the attentive waitstaff (I think his name was Terrell - great voice), Food was delicious - had a chance... More

From the website and tripadvisor, this restaurant gets rave reviews. I have to disagree. Being from England, I have experience Shepherds pie, fish & chips and bangers & mash. Between 4 of us, the above covers our orders. My Shepherds pie was the worst I have had while dining out. Mashed potatoes layered over the filling without any further grilling... More

The wait staff is friendly. The decor is like a colonial pub with 21 century items thrown in. Even though I have dined there several times, I have not been impressed with the food. There is a bar-appetizer section while you wait. Parking is across the alley way. The building was in the movie Lincoln.

As soon as I saw this restaurant's website, I put the address in my GPS. They have an excellent website, by the way - the history section is fascinating. My husband and I celebrated a birthday dinner here. Our waiter was very knowledgeable in helping us make our dinner and drink choices, and we were not disappointed. Excellent food prepared... More
