Get OFF the highway and EAT HERE. Always. My husband and I were traveling south from DC with our two adult children and, well, it was dinner time. I Googled BBQ in Raleigh and read the TripAdvisor reviews of a few possibilities, and WINNER just does not give Saucy's enough praise. Do not be put off by its simple appearance... More

very delicious food! The potato salad was so tasty. Everyone really enjoyed it and I went with 7 people in the group. Overall, great spot. They are in the middle of construction but are still open for business. It'll be nicer once they get some seating arranged. Best for take away food.

Very good BBQ. As it was our first time we were coached into the pulled pork sandwiches. And they were great. The vinegar based coleslaw was wonderful as well. Recommended.

Honestly didnt expect much when I stopped here but let me tell ya....WOW! I had the pulled pork sandwich and was blown away by the complexity of the BBQ taste. Not just pulled pork drenched in a bottled sauce but rather a unique test which is unmistakenly home made. Next trip I had to try the ribs and to be... More

After hearing about this place from a co-worker, I had to give it a try. The pulled pork (slamming) as they call it with coleslaw and hot sauce was amazing. The flavors are like no other I have ever tasted. The staff was down to earth and had great knowledge of the different products. I was so impressed I ended... More

WOW. Saucys is the best bbq in the petersburg/richmomd area, and probably the best I have ever eaten. The bbq sandwich with a side of beans is to die for. The 3 bean mixture has a sweet, unique taste.Ribs are definitely fall off the bone. The atmosphere is quaint, nothing fancy, very comfortable. Service is amazing as well as price... More

Beef sandwich on a bun was terrific, and the Pork ribs were just right. Sure, they were fatty. Where do you think the flavor comes from on the grill? Atmosphere is bare bones and completely honest. It's all about the meat.

The pulled pork sandwiches were superb and the sides were good as well. The people that created this eatery were just that, very creative. They took a shipping container, cut out some metal and sat it on a corner in Petersburg's old town. Our B&B host suggested we give it a try and i'm glad she did. When we were... More

Ribs, Potato Salad, Half Chicken, Slaw (With Cilantro!!!) and beans. All excellent. The line moved really fast. Allowed me to relax out front and people watch. Great spot for that. There's a tire joint across the street and a river a block away. I could see Interstate 95 from the picnic table. I'm telling everyone about this place!

The BBQ is excellent, you can't go wrong with any of it! Just steer clear of the coleslaw, they put a ton of cilantro in it and that makes it taste bizzare.
