Does Saucy's Walkup BBQ serve GREAT barbecue? Nope. But is it tasty? Absolutely. Saucy’s is located at the corner of a parking lot in an industrial section of Petersburg, VA. I had the pulled pork sandwich (with slaw on top) while my wife ordered the chicken quarter. We both had a side of potato salad. The BBQ sauce was sweet... More

We looked for this place based on previous reviews. It is a hard place to find. Since it was raining and the outdoor tables were wet, we ended up eating in the car. Food was very good- we had meaty ribs and chicken quarters. The coleslaw was good-cilantro flavored. Service is very good.

This place gives you large portions of fresh food. The coleslaw is homemade and the baked beans are a combo of 3 types. Definitely worth it.

OMG! This has to be some of the best BBQ ribs and chicken that I have ever eaten! A very simple place, it is all take out as it is not a restaurant where you go inside, sit down, and eat. It is actually like a railroad container or a tractor trailer container! LOL You don't go inside, you just... More

Happened upon this place while headed to the beach. Here's the run down: -Easy to find right off the interstate -Unique building. -the meat was tender, but not very smoky -sauce was nothing to write home about. Perhaps there were other options I didn't know about? -super quick service -overall the food was decent and I feel quite snobby in... More

We had pulled pork sandwiches! MMMMMM - good! Currently, yo walk up to a steel container converted into a small, corner BBQ hut. The service was great; the customers were friendly and hungry as we were. In a few months, Saucy's will move into a building. Go now while the ambiance is pure, local southern style.

Love Saucy's BBQ. The best bean salad I've ever had. Can't wait until they open a walkup in Hopewell.

Saucy's is a great little spot that is somewhat hidden in Petersburg, based on location. DON'T LET THE SHIPPING CONTAINER FOOL YOU! Saucy's BBQ is incredible. The brisket is chunky and crazy flavorful, served on a generic burger bun. But together, it's an achievement akin to landing on the moon. The bean trio and potato salad are also out of... More

Great BBQ! We had ribs and chicken, and both were great. The ribs, especially, were very good. The potato salad and beans were also very tasty, although the beans were not the usual "baked beans" and instead were in some kind of vinegar and oil dressing. Next time, I'd skip the rolls, since they are just grocery store hamburger buns.... More
