A friend took me here for lunch, and then I quickly took my husband back so he could experience this little place. The menu is simple, but everything we have tried is delicious. The poblana soup is my new favorite food. It is the best soup I have ever had. The chicken salad is excellent! They are only open for... More

If you go to Nuevo Cafe (which is highly advisable), you MUST try the pablano soup, REALLY! It's so good! They also make the best Cobb salad I've ever had.

The location is not ideal, but if you work downtown this place is worth remembering--and obviously people do, as it is usually busy. On a recent visit we ordered the fried green tomatoes for a starter and I had a bowl of the poblano soup--both delicious, and I could only eat about a third of the soup as it is... More

After several glowing reviews, I finally stopped by this smaller, unassuming cafe near Six Points. I was not disappointed! The disco tea was delicious, and the famous poblano soup left me wanting more, even after a large bowl. Arrive as close to 11 as possible or be prepared to wait 30 min - an hour. A friend took me here for lunch. Very simple atmosphere, really like all the art on the walls. The menu is simple with soup, salads and sandwiches. The food was fresh and very good. Service was good and the $ was great.

This place is great! Always good service and great food. The pablano soup is definitely worth a try. Reasonably priced. It can get very busy around lunch time, and parking can be a little annoying. So I always try to go before 12 or after 1 to miss the crowd.

In from Austin for work and stopped by here by happenstance for lunch. What a find! Poblano soup really is as good as everyone says. Reasonable prices also.
