This restaurant had a fire last Sept. so has been redone and looks nice. Black and white with turquoise accents and pictures of different cities on the walls. Service was good. They have a specialty fish dish which the hostess recommended so I tried it (might be called Nueces fish). It was a large portion - too much to eat.... More

I ordered the chicken tender entree.....It was awful!!! The corn was right out of a can, my baked potato was luke warm at best and TINY and the chicken was processed chicken that was not a chicken breast as stated on the menu!!!

We went down town to have a evening dinner by the sea. The city dinner had just been renovated and just opened. The service was poor and the food preparation was very poor. They seemed to want to cut food costs on portions and preparation.

Try the Poor-boy , and the greasy burger, and the milk shake. It was a great experience to get a quick bite to eat.

This place had a fire but has now reopened - nicely updated inside and a lot better coming out of the kitchen. We had the club sandwich and a Greek Salad both very good. The waitress was way to chatty and asked what kind of dressing I wanted on the Greek Salad - I told her "Turkish" she didn't get... More

The City Diner was always hit and miss for us. I enjoyed some pretty good meals there and on the next visit they were pretty bad. The wait staff was always polite and they had killer Onion Rings. I drove by the other day and there was a sign up that said they were No Closed. It's too bad the... More

The food was average sea food. Not bad and not great. I would go back if I was in the area for lunch. It is clean and the service was good.
