This restaurant has that cajun Louisiana feel. The menu is very simple and has only the Important things. The atmosphere is family friendly and the staff was even better. I ordered the catfish dinner and it was a fantastic deal. Red beans, coleslaw, fries and a mound of catfish bites! I am now a forever loyal customer!! I would recommend... More

I dig fried food, but oh man. The hush puppies with the different sauces were quite nice. Then came the fried shrimp, oysters, assorted fish and it became a bit too much. The oysters were like a fried mess of breaded nothing. So the gumbo...I was so looking forward to the gumbo. Terrible. Salad shrimp so overcooked and the roux... More

The catfish meal for adult light-eaters was plenty to eat. The catfish was done perfectly; nice thin fillets with a thin crunchy coating. Beans were tasty and a mix of both black and red beans. Cole slaw a bit too saucey.

Seafood was fresh, light batter and crispy fried. It really was enjoyable. The basket of hushpuppy appetizers was welcome since I was starving when I hit the door. Service was wonderful, the tea glass was never empty. Restroom was clean, smelled nice and well stocked. Nothing unique about the food, but was very good.

Good family oriented place. Hushpuppies were delicious. Gumbo looked and tasted day old, everything tasted the same. Misleading menu in that it advertise Red Potatoes, but get frozen steak fries. A good place to go if you don't care about details. Catfish was good, but nothing to write "excuse the pun" about. I mean it wasnt seasoned or raw. All... More

Really poor service, bad food and filthy restrooms. Guess my experience was different from others. Worse, no one even asked about our meal! Try a truck stop!

As indicated in my last review of Catfish Charlie's some two years ago, we returned there tonight (Tues., Mar. 4). What a meal!!! I told our server, Carrie, that this was our second visit and about the review I gave following our first visit. I told her not to disappoint us and believe me, she didn't. Service was fast and... We wrote this comment on our receipt so the owner and the server could identify our review. One thing that really stood out to me about the visit was the waitress's attitude towards our requests. She was delightful and offered solutions. My hubby wanted to try the frog legs, but didn't want to order 5 or more that came in... More

We were in Corpus Christi on a getaway and have fun trip when we came across this place. We were looking through Trip Advisor hunting for a great place to eat and decided to try Catfish Charlies. We were Not disappointed. We had the fried frog legs and boy were they huge. The waitress said they were "Texas size" frog... More

This was not our first time and definitely not the last. My husband and I are from Louisiana and now reside in Corpus Christi TX. Catfish Charlie's is the only restaurant that can mimic the food we are use to. Down home restaurant with great value and excellent customer service.
