The regular menu is not appetizing. But the oyster menu was yummy. We had the pickled oysters. Plus the oyster on the half shell, bloody Mary and beer. Yummy. Our waiter was helpful and attentive too.

Don't let the building or interior fool you. It may not look like a upscale restaurant, but the food and waitress were awesome. We ate shrimp/crab meat poppers, oysters on the half shell, fried gulf shrimp. The only complaint is the cocktails (Captain Morgan/coke) were weak.

This place was recommended to us by a person at a Pizza restaurant when I told them I was looking for a good seafood place. The seafood I ate was excellent and they even had a very good Chicken Fried Steak which my husband got. We even went back for a second time before we left the Island ;)

This was once a fabulous, extremely busy place to eat in Corpus Christi, TX. Had a great happy hour menu and great frosted beer mugs, was reasonably priced, and had excellent food. Very sad to say none of this is any longer the case. The food is horrible, prices are high, and it's no more than a nasty little dive.... More

This wasn't a nice restaurant re: atmosphere (more like a bar - wouldn't really suggest bringing your kids here) but the food was really good. Service was okay. Would go back for the seafood.

The Black Diamond is undoutably the most inconsistent restaurant I have ever frequented. And frequent it I do because at times it is awesome. But then there are times like last night where the nachos were a disgrace to the Black Diamond traditional nachos. The margaritas tasted like saltwater and a bake potato would not even melt the butter. I... More

I was pleased with the service we received and the food was tasty. I am not a fish person but I really enjoyed the fish I ordered here.

The restaurant was very... casual. I just didn't feel like I had got my money's worth on the food. We ordered the seafood platter but I'm pretty sure it was missing some shrimp. The way it was described had me thinking there would be more food. The staff was friendly enough, but the food just didn't meet standards.

If you notice, all the bad reviews are from people from Corpus! These people wouldnt know a cool reasturant if it blew up in there face. It is a dive, but, all the food is homemade. The service, everyone that eats there are friends, or knows each other, dont be protentious its a layed back oyster bar! Great music playing... More

The atmosphere is not appealing, but its something you can get past. The food is just ok. HOWEVER, the service is horrible. I was kept waiting for over 7 minutes to be seated. Several workers saw me and did nothing! I will not be eating here again, they obviously showed me that they don't need or appreciate my service.
