Our son is a student at TAMUCC and we have tried many of the seafood restaurants in the area when visiting him and this is our favorite ! Huge portions , perfectly cooked , excellent service and clean quiet atmosphere. You will love the seafood sauce , never had anything like it , forget the tartar sauce like other places... More

Semi-blacken drum and catfish are great, avocado salad and the twice baked potato are also very good. George or his wife are always there greeting customers. We have gone with friends, family and sometimes just us two and always the food has been great.

I am not sure how this place has such a high ranking. Who ever ranked it so high must not ever go any where else in Corpus. Shrimp was nothing special about the same you can get at any Red Lobster. Cocktail sauce wasn't as good as what I buy in any store. Special sauce I did not care for... More

My husband and I ate there this past Saturday, May 17, 2014. We were hoping to have a great meal and I had no doubt that we would have good food here. Boy was I wrong. There were only 3 other table's at the restaraunt besides ourselves and it took almost 45 minutes to get our food. On top of... More

George's is a family style restaurant. The servings are plentiful, mainly fried, and served on large platters. Service is very attentive, drinking glasses filled as necessary. George's is local neighborhood establishment located in a strip center which locals know where it is, we had no problem finding with our car navigation. We dined as a couple, feeling overwhelmed at times... More

Read all the reviews and was anxious to try. Ordered the Bombay salad, fried shrimp, oysters and fish along with a bottle of wine. Salad was ordinary, oysters were tough and strong--ate only one, fish was over cooked and in tiny pieces, shrimp were edible. Service was fine.

Went there twice on a 2 week stay. They recommended Drum fish which was delicious. I had it prepared Mesquite Grilled over Rice. It was so good that I had the same dish during my 2nd visit.

If you want your choice of fried, blackened, grilled, or broiled, the family style is for you. Also try the snapper & crab cake entrees, & when they first seat you & bring the little bowls of sauce & crackers, DO NOT pass it up ! "Mrs. George" came to the table several times & added to the already top... More

Freshest seafood I have had in town. Great family style servings. Hard not to load up on tartar sauce and salads. We ordered by the pound but had them prepare it two ways. We will be coming back.

Found this place through Trip Advisor and the recommendations were correct. The food was first class and the service even better! Prices were more than reasonable for the quality and quantity received. They went out of their way to make sure we enjoyed ourselves!
