A year ago I barely got seated and had drinks on the table when I left money on the table to cover the drinks and walked out. The place was a mess, more than half the tables needed to be bussed, there was trash and food on the floor and there was a general dirty feel to the place. I... More

We eat here a lot. It's too expensive. Service is hit or miss. Not clean enough. Had subpar meals more often than not. BUT they basically will do their whole menu gluten free, short a couple of sauces. Wife can't eat gluten, so we go their a lot. And she's picky but not a snob. Their pizza is ok, I... More

This was our first dining experience at Russo's Coal Fired Italian. Our visit was on Sunday at lunch. The dining room was filling up, but not crowded. The dining area is very nice and is great for any size group. We had large salads and one pizza. The salads were huge and very fresh. The pizza was indeed coal fired... More

Good pizza. They also serve oven baked pizza dough instead of bread when you order pasta. Tasty. Pasta was not as great as pizza. Good portion.

The pizza was great- get the napoletana paisano. We ordered a large salad that never came. The tiramisu tastes like coconut not coffee - skip it. I wished I had tried more of their food but we used a groupon to come in. With the groupon it was well- priced.

Pizza is tasty but personally I think overpriced after you choose your toppings. Staff is "okay", but could be more attentive and friendly.

I ate here recently on a date-night with my wife. We pass it every-day and thought we would give it a try. To be fair, I had a coal fired, flat-crust pizza and it was reasonably good, definitely not great. With my pizza I requested and paid for 3 ingredient toppings and one of them was basil. I am thinking... More

Russo's is rated 59th best restaurant in Corpus Christi and our experience was negative, unfortunately. All 3 tables during our visit were seated 1st thru 3rd table from the front door and side by side on the bench / table that outlines the dining area; and even minimizing distance - the service was poor. Extremely dirty crushed pepper shaker; and... More

We took advantage of a Groupon deal to experience this restaurant. Excellent location on the corner of Staples and Saratoga. Easy to get to and it has ample parking. The atmosphere is very nice. The chef was throwing pizza dough when we arrived, the pizza oven was crackling and the hostess sat us right away. Our server was at our... More

I don't eat pizza very often. First, because I am very picky and secondly because our small city lacks good choices. Until I visited Russo's. It's your typical NY pizza. Loved it. First, we had the garlic knots for appetizers. Lovely croissant like twisted bread filled with extra virgin olive oil - with marinara and garlic sauces on the side.... More
