Well worth the trip

Have no problem going a little out of my way to come back to a bit of German flavor. The strudel and the breads are delightful and the service is very good. The prices are also very reasonable...

I cannot speak to the menu food as we merely stopped for the bakery aspect. The breads did not disappoint. Lovely choices and fresh daily. We enjoyed our loaves very much. Now for the pastry, um, average. The strudel was not at all like any we had in Germany but maybe it's a regional thing but the lemon was not... More

We loved the food there and definitely will go back again. We tried some of the bezel rolls, French toast and German breakfast. All were excellent! This place is busy so be prepared for a wait and limited seating. Worth the wait!!

We love going to this place for the good German breads and pretzels. Not a fan of their strudels, but their other baked goods are legit German style.

Real german products, great bread and the strudels are awesome. We took the strudels to our accomodation and warmed them up in the microwave and they were yummy.

A group of us had lunch here, and enjoyed the visit. The pastries and bread are the real deal and well worth the visit in themselves. The German cooking was good, but a bit disappointing (the sauerkraut was limp and mushy, and the Schweinebraten, although tasty, seemed to be from a pork roll). One drawback -- I've always found Schweinebraten... More

It seems like an unusual location for a German bakery, but this place is the real deal. We enjoyed delicious strudel, quiche, a hazelnut pastry and coffee. If we had been in town longer we would have been back another day for lunch. Very friendly and helpful staff

We decided to stop by on our way to Port A for a quick snack. We stayed for a meal. The sausages & kolaches were reminders of a visit to Germany. We were staying in a condo so we took with a full apple strudel, whole custard pie & chocolate croissants. All were wonderful.

I don't usually eat here, I just run in to grab bread and desserts. They have every kind of bread, from white to rye to spelt, and it is all delicious. Their pastry? Utterly delicious. Strudel,(including poppyseed), cheesecake, lots of concoctions with cherries and apples, the list goes on. Beware-one strudel is probably a full day's worth of calories. But... More

This time we only had lunch. Several of us wanted schnitzel so we were very disappointed that they were out of it. They only had one portion of potato salad left. Service took a while, so we didn't have time for desserts.
