Great Place!!

Excellent place to eat! I had the pizza strudel and the spaetzle with gravy. For dessert I had tiramisu. All was very good. My friend had the chicken strudel and warm German potato salad. For dessert she had The Rock. Cute little place with plenty of seats. Excellent service. The prices are average... read more

The schnitzel was more like a breaded pork chop. It should be thinner and tenderized. It tasted ok just too much like a thick pork chop. The hot german potato salad was very good. I'm sure I would return the next trip to north padre island.

Still serving authentic German food. So good, we ate breakfast here twice in 2 days! It is a bakery and cafe all in one. They sell several different types of loaves of bread, strudels, and other German pastries. Breakfast selections include a unique French toast, eggs and German sausage, and an egg-scramble-quiche-like dish. Dining is inside or on their patio... More

I don't recommend the bean, sausage and everything but the kitchen sink breakfast pastry, but the peach breakfast pastry was divine. One serving would feed two or three people.

Very quaint little cafe. We went on a Sunday morning and the place was packed. My husband had the cinnamon roll which he said was ok and I had the apple strudel which was fantastic. Great atmosphere, very friendly and polite staff. The cappuccino left a little bit to be desired, very disappointed it was not a real espresso machine.... More

Excellent baked goods for breakfast. All baked goods made with traditional German ingredients and baked in an imported oven from Germany. I had the waffle and brat...very tasty. Plus we had a blueberry pillow. They have an outdoor patio by a waterway also if it's not too hot out. Solid option for breakfast.

We stopped in to check out the German bread, and were in for a treat to see the wonderful offerings at this restaurant. The breakfast omelets were great, and the toast was super made with homemade bread. We took home a loaf of sunflower bread, which was awesome, along with several sweet cookies, etc... We also added a warm apple... More

Don't get me wrong, the bakery and pastries are amazing but other than that I wouldn't waste your time. The omelettes are strange, wouldn't even call them an omlette honestly. The seating areas are dirty and unkempt and the interior is full of clutter.

We went here for breakfast and loved it! They have lots of fresh German baked goods that were delicious. We also ordered an omelet that was just average. Highly recommend if you are looking for something different.
