I planned a dinner for a group of bloggers I know who were attending a conference with me last night. I picked McLoone's because I had eaten there once before. They were super-flexible about changing the number in our party (It swelled from 12 to 21!) several times over the course of a month. In fact, we added a couple... More

We arrived the night of the National Christmas Tree lighting so everything in the area was extremely busy. We stopped by for a late evening dinner and were able to get in with a reasonable wait. During the wait we were able to leave McLoone's and look at the area instead of just hanging out in the lobby. When our... More

We visited National Harbor on Saturday, November 15, and got a dinner reservation at McLoone's because it was located close to where the tree lighting ceremony and fireworks are. Since we're already in the area, we tried to see if they'll take us one hour earlier (than our reservation but decided we won't feel bad if they didn't). They took... More

We recently ate here on a Friday evening after getting off the beltway to avoid terrible traffic. We sat outside and watched one of the most beautiful sunsets I've ever seen over the Potomac and National Harbor Center marina while enjoying a bottle of wine and appetizers. The view, wine and service were excellent. The crab bruschetta was beautiful but... More

Right on the water, great location with a view of the Ferris wheel. Aimee was a friendly bartender that made some good suggestions. Warm crab dip was good but don't let it get cold. It gets really thick. Lobster bisque was great with lots of lobster.

I dined here on a Tuesday night with a group of 15 colleagues. I understand that serving a party of that size is not easy. Our server did an admirable job taking care of us. It did take 2+ hours from start to finish, that was a bit long. The crab bruschetta was very good as a starter. The calamari... More

We ate at the Pier House on a Saturday evening. We planned it to be there to watch the beautiful sunset and were not disappointed. A glorious view of the sun going down over the Potomac River! Try to get a table where you can see it. The staff were very friendly and professional and the food was excellent. My... More

We have been here several times because the other options in the area were poor or also average. It smacks of a chain restaurant. It is just too bad because in either Alexandria or DC (which is a $30 Taxi ride) there is an abundance of locally owned unique places to enjoy a special meal.

Enjoyed a beautiful Sunday lunch sitting out on their patio! The shrimp and grits were excellent and my husband enjoyed his omelet. Our waiter was very pleasant and helpful! The view of the Harbor was so nice and we enjoyed people watching, too! We were right next to the Carousel and watched folks on kayaks enjoying the pretty day, too!... More

Outdoor seating is a must if the weather permits. Right on the river and great people watching. The drinks were great and the food was delicious. Everything was reasonable priced as well. Definitely recommend the buffalo chicken wantons!! Delicious. We tried the wings, burgers, calamari (so so), crab cakes. Great variety on menu. Service was friendly, fast and great!
