Yes, it was good food but I'm sorry to say, they retired and enjoying family now. The restaurant is for sale. It would be nice if another would open at that location. Please pass this info. on and help Ajo attract more businesses to our beautiful area.

Went for dinner on a Saturday night at 8:30PM (only place open besides the Pizza Hut). Pleasantly surprised how good the food was at this hole-in-the-wall restaurant. Excellent selection of typical Chinese fare with a really good and spicy hot and sour soup. Nice large portions. We also got a 1/2 carafe of Chablis! for $5.00. What a deal. Slight... More

The best I've ever had? No. But definitely better than I expected. Don't let the dismal exterior put you off, nor the dim interior, because the food was enjoyable and the server very nice if a bit overworked.

Really good food. Wonderful service. Seems popular. Almond chicken was great and veggies were fresh and good in the chop suey. Staff friendly and I was amazed how quickly the food came. Portions were good. They were very friend with our young children. It seems to be a family-run restaurant.

You wouldn't think a Chinese food place in such a small town so close to the Mexican border would be so good, at least i didn't when i first moved here 5 years ago, But i was very wrong the food is great. I've worked several places in Ajo (currently the La Siesta Motel and R.V resort) and am always... More

Yes. This place is owned by a Cantonese family and they serve honest to goodness Chinese food. I had the Cantonese style crispy noodles. Everything in this dish was fresh, from the water chestnuts, the broccoli, and the carrots. My husband had the Mongolian beef, made with wonderfully fatty and delicious beef and yummy savory onions. We would eat here... More

This stuff is seriously the best Chinese I've ever had anywhere. One thing to remember though is that they only take cash. NO CREDIT CARDS. Excellent food though.

Not the nicest building and somewhat dark inside but they serve good food at a reasonable price and give you plenty. Typical chinese cantonese style food and restaurant can get crowded in the winter. Good for take out also.

Every town, no matter how small or remote, seems to offer a Chinese restaurant and Ajo is no exception. Bamboo Village is operated by a long-time Ajo family and the standard Cantonese-American fare they offer is quick, sufficient and consistent. Locals, especially Border Patrol officers consider it a treat to dine here, and inexpensive to boot! Combination plates are the... More
