Good Old Fashioned Grub

We love Taylor's Sausage. It is just under two hours away from us and we plan our trip through Cave Junction so that we can stop at Taylors of our meal of the day. Taylors has been a meet processing business for decades, then some 15 to 20 years ago they opened a store/restaurant along Hwy 199... read more

Had 4 different people tell us we need to stop in on our way out of town. Boy are we glad we did! They have so many different verities of Meat, Sausage, Beef Jerky and more! The sausage was wonderful! We will stop in again, on our next trip!

I won't order a whole one next time though. They're huge! Stood there and drooled on the meat case. They have a pretty impressive assortment. HUGE turkey legs. A must stop when passing through.

We stopped here for a quick breakfast while on the road and were pleasantly surprised. It is a very casual, rather rustic sausage place that serves a tasty meal. It's the sort of place where you order at the counter and take it to your table. Fresh. Fast. Friendly. Tasty. Quick.

Found this place thru trip advisor last year. It lived up to its ratings. Lots of packaged jerky to chose from. The taste was outstanding. They also serve breakfast there. It also looked super tasty but we had already eaten so missed the chance of tasting.

Taylor's was recommended to us by a co-worker so we gave it a FIRST try on our way to Medford (Christmas 2014). I got the jalapeno dog and sweet potato fries and my DH got the Italian sausage. He liked his meal (said it was "OK") but my hot dog was a cold dog....also the casing was SO tough, I... More

I've heard so much about how great Taylor's is, mostly based upon their retail sausage products which are excellent. A visit to the home store in Cave Junction, OR was not as consistent. We went just for a sandwich and the disorganization of just getting a sandwich ordered became a first-and-last visit. The lines for sandwiches and cold case meats... More

The beef jerky was simply brilliant. It comes in several flavors, is soft enough, the size of the pieces is convenient and the overall package is good size, better even than Wal Mart. The hot dogs are very nice, I tried several varieties and liked best the apple smoked hot dog. Its flavor was even nice on its own, but... More

Two families travel 40 miles from a local town. Dinner service on 3-14-15 was not acceptable!!! COLD everything, young unresponsive employees, too busy laughing and carrying on, cleaning up early versus taking care of the customers. Inexperienced or immature does not matter, provide the good food HOT, as precious visits, or go out of business. The feeling within the restaurant... More

I've been eating at Taylor's for several years and have ordered almost everything on the menu. Why I keep going back for more torture I have no idea. Perhaps it's because it's the only game in town (Cave Junction). Believe you me, that's not saying much. If you order a burger, from an establishment that prides themselves in their meat,... More
