We were visiting Salt Lake City as tourists. We are originally from the Fairfax neighborhood of Los Angeles. I include that because it is helpful to know that we are used to a excellent customer service and food quality, so maybe our standards are high. We were not greeted upon entry to the restaurant. We had to ask for help.... More

Costa Vida is an average Tex-Mex restaurant. Nice shrimp entrees. The service is good, establishment is clean, food is good to above average. It is a good place to grab a quick bite, but it would not be my destination for a lingering lunch with friends.

Costa Vida is Fresh Mexican fast food. It is very similar to Cafe Rio, but without the long lines. My wife and I actually like the tortilla shells better than Cafe Rio as they are not as heavy. We eat at a Costa Vida 2-3 times per month, and we've been to several locations. The food is consistently good at... More

Really good value for money. Burritos are amazing, they hit the spot! :) We loved the Costa vida in Ogden too, you can sit and watch surfing at Iflow. Free refills are also a pleasure especially on a hot day. Britian should take a leaf outta there book for free refills. Yummy

Seems like same format as Chipotle or Qdoba. Better value than either. Food served on foil pie plate, which I prefer to food tightly wrapped in foil. Generous portions and all around good value. I'd go back.

very fresh and tasty food! fajitas and quesedillas very good. Atmosphere not that great, however. Good for families and reasonably priced.

This is one location of a chain of restaurants in the inter-mountain west. It is located in the south end of a shopping center called "The Gateway". They have validated parking. It is very near the Multiplex Theatres (which is why we went). Several years ago a local Mexican restaurant opened called Cafe Rio. It had a whole new approach... More

Terrible service, mediocre food. Same price for a plain cheese quesadilla as a full burrito meal. Won't return.

I love eating here and from the looks of it so do many others, as there are always people in the dining room. You order your food from a line and they make it cooked to order. I love the fish tacos, and shrimp salad, with black beans!
