I had the pick 3 on the menu and had chicken curry salad, cream of spinach soup and assorted berries as a side. This was very reasonably priced and the quality of the food was excellent. My waitress was very helpful in discerning the menu choices so that I would be pleased. She then recommended some of her favorite dessert... more
We were in SLC last week from LA...found Gourmandise a perfect breakfast stop. All locals besides us...but out of towners should get there...delicious baked goods, daily quiche was especially good. We regret not taking a bag of baked goods for the road trip back home. more
Fantastic French bakery. In addition to a huge array of "standard" bakery case offerings (cookies, napoleans, tiramisu, choux-based stuff), they offer breakfast and lunch menus that are very good. We went twice in our three-day stay and would have kept going if we weren't moving on... more
When staying in SLC we decided we had a sweet tooth & asked the concierge at the Hilton Garden Inn for a suggestion. I like to think that The Bakery is an awesome little secret of the Salt Lake City locals. Their pastry selection is always outstanding and I love dropping in there after dinner for a treat. The Bakery is by far the best restaurant in Salt Lake City. There are many different menu items available and the really friendly servers are willing to personalize your meal. I stumbled upon this gem one day while walking downtown. Their pastries are amazing! Their sable cookies are great, chocolate croissants divine, and cakes beautiful and delightful. I have nothing but superlative things to say about this place. more
