My 17 year old son loves sushi, so after reading the reviews we headed here after we landed in SLC. There was wait due to the large outdoor show in town, but we were able to get a place at the sushi bar in just under an hour. The staff was maxed out due to the large volume of customers,... More

Came here for a business trip and every night we were told the wait was at least 2 hours. Finally on a Monday there was a 1 hour wait and we could wait at the bar. The staff was friendly but spacy. The bartender forgot to bring our drinks and charged us for them, and I found a hair in... More

Cool design, great vibrant atmosphere, but most important excellent food and drinks. Definitely ranked high for many good reasons and honestly, neither my wife or I did expect to find a place like this in Salt Lake City. Friendly attentive staff, great choice of micro brews and sake. Ceviche Roll, delicately fried whole trout, very good sushi, miso soup -... More

This place is as good as some of the best sushi bars in Los Angeles. Fish is fresh, service is expert, great atmosphere. Highly recommend the kansai 'Box', the bonito, sardine and arctic char nigiri. Cooked items like the tempura and the wagyu beef are very good as well. Prices are not cheap, but that's to be expected given the... More

Some of the best sushi I have had, including restaurants on the coast and out of state. Takashi's flavor combinations are amazing, he has new and innovative specials and fresh high quality fish. I have been going to this restaurant since it opened and will continue to enjoy my date nights at Takashi's! Great service and excellent food - all... More

Been to Takashi many times but finally wanted to post something because tonight was my 20th anniversary and I really wanted somewhere special. Takashi did not disappoint! The food is incredible, well priced, the atmosphere is very inviting, the service is attentive and it's in a great location with accessible parking. The rolls are delicious, we had the ceviche rolls,... More

Great find - excellent food and service. We let the waiter recommend various dishes, and sampled many. Menu prices seemed high at first, but portion sizes were large. Quick and easy access to airport area for long layovers or hotel stays at the airport.

Consistantly, Takashi serves outstanding sushi - from 'normal' to 'creative'. Whatever you like they most likely can accomodate. We like to go to the sushi bar and let the chef make for us. Never have we been disappointed. They do not take reservations for less than 6 people and if you have to wait it's worth it. While you wait,... More

I was very hesitant coming to a sushi restaurant in Utah. However I was blown away by the quality of the sushi. I got the Maguro and Sake nigiri, spicy maguro, and the TnT roll. The quality of fish was outstanding and the price was very reasonable. I've eaten sushi all over the west coast and even in Japan. This... More
