Nice place with good food - good date spot

It is by far the best "non fast food" greek place in town. The atmosphere is worthy of a nice date as is the food quality. The prices may be a little higher than you are thinking for greek if you mainly eat it "fast food style" but the in the usual "date night" price range of $15-24 entree... read more

A lot of Greek restaurants in SLC are a form of fast food, but not Aristo's! That is true in both senses of the word. It is best to go when you are not in a hurry as the food is slow to come. But it is really top-notch when it does. Fresh ingredients, authentic Greek cuisine, and lots of... More

Very sad that one of my reliable great neighborhood restaurants apparently has a new 'chef'. Suddenly food that was excellent and fresh seems like its been reconstituted from a powder and water. Tasteless. The gyros were so dry and flavorless. This food used to be so good. So sad!

I have decided to compare 3 popular Greek restaurants here in SLC. Each is unique and offers a different take on Greek food which will be covered here. The five "staples" in a solid Greek menu to me are: gyros, dolmathes, pastitsio, lamb chops and spanakopita. Since I am posting here first on Aristos Restaurant's page, I will discuss this... More

We went to a late lunch at Aristo's after a recommendation from a friend of ours and what a pleasant surprise. There was a wide array of food to choose from and we were not disappointed at the quality and freshness of what we ordered. I ordered an item that was not in the lunch menu and our waitress got... The Official Greek Spot Food: 10/10 Staff: 9/10 Atmosphere: 9/10 Location: 8/10 Recommendation: So far this is the best Greek restaurant in Utah. The food is such a pleasant surprise. It gives the feel of an ocean side home and a fine dining establishment. The staff is always friendly and quick. The atmosphere is very homey but still fine dining.... More

We found the food very good - except, as Susan R reported, they ran out of several dishes rather early. A good sounding fish dish, some small plates, a wine i wanted to try (with the fish I couldn't get). The waiter gave great service substituting other dishes but that's not how a good restaurant is supposed to work. Go... More

Had a business dinner here during a conference. Did not realize it was so far from downtown. Luckily a friend had a rental car. We had to pay to park on the street....really?? We had picked out several items to order when the waiter informed us they were out of dolmas and several other items. I was disappointed with the... More

The restaurant was small with limited seating, so it's not good for a large business group. Upon arrival we asked to sit at one of the outside tables and we were told that if we did not have a reservation we could not sit outside. The attitude did not set a good tone but we stayed because we wanted Greek.... More

This was such a fun place to try. Greek food is not something I usually think to try, so this was a great treat and surprise. The gyros flight is tasty to try, and the entrees were all very good. If you are a garlic fan then try the appetizer that is basically pureed garlic on pita it was so... More
