We've seen ads for MacCool's Public House in Salt Lake City for a few months now and finally tried it. It was a little hard to find (in a large strip mall, with crowded parking) but once we got inside, it was great! We were seated quickly and our waiter was right there to take our drink orders. He answered... More

This was a hard place for me we tried several different plates and all of them were very difficult to eat. The shepherds Pie was not for me even though it was well reviewed and someone ordered the Lamb quesadilla. First of all who orders Lamb but they tried it and hated it. The atmosphere is great and the service... More

Had the Dubliner steak salad this trip. Steak was medium rare as requested. Very tasty. Plenty of greens too. Paired with a local Full Suspension Pale ale....perfect. Friendly staff too

Nice place to have a meal, descent food, good prices. I liked the atmosphere. Their Bar was cool in the sense it is a Public House. All shared areas.

It was a cold and wet afternoon, and the Irish coffee was so good. My friend had the most outrageous potpie that I have ever seen-a queen-size pillow of puff pastry over the dish!

We had dinner here while on a very short trip to SLC. It's a loud, friendly environment that was filled with a wide variety of people - families, University students, people going to the theatre. The food was very good - not necessarily super, but very good. We had a slice of chocolate cake that was so huge it hung... More

Good place to take your student within 10 minutes of the dorms and in the same shopping center as Dan's Supermarket. The menu was large enough to have something for everyone. The service was prompt and courteous. The food was excellent.

Very casual atmosphere, TV with sports if you want that area, expensive $10 drinks but delicious specialties like the margarita with a hint of mint I think. I had southwest turkey burger, plenty of peppers and a little kick, with fries (potato and sweet potato) husband had the lamb shank and loved it. Super nice server and plensant atmosphere. Wished... Wow! What a disappointment! The hostess was GREAT, friendly and funny. The atmosphere "seemed" quaint and fun. And then it was all downhill from there! Food was mediocre (lamb sandwich, and lamb quesadilla). Beer selection was fair at best (with menu listings out of date, and signs in bar out of date). Service was quick, but impersonable, rushed, and condesending.... More
