Two words: Garlic Naan!

Very authentic Nepali and Indian cuisine. The garlic naan was an interesting twist. And I recommend the Himalayan spiced truffles for dessert. Many dishes for vegetarians. Service is not spectacular but fine, décor is nice.

I specifically look for Himalayan restaurants when I travel. I had not done that research on this trip and was pretty pleased to see there was one so close to our hotel. The menu is fantastic. 2 dishes to recommend are the Bison Momo and the Goat Curry. I can't say enough about these and the bread served with dinner.... More

Authentic cuisine. If you are not sure you like spicey or can't handle it then tell them American mild. We ordered medium and our waitress told them American. Well my husband thought is was mild so they kicked up a notch and OH YUM. His lamb was tender and fresh. Nan was the best I have ever had anywhere.

The food here was fresh and very tasty. The atmosphere was nice and the service impeccable! When in Salt Lake, this one is worth looking up for authentic Indian cuisine.

Casual restaurant in walking distance from all that is down town. This places an really spice it up if your are so inclined. I like spice and the "hot" was about all I would want. They have two steps higher. Indian beer available to complete the experience.

Although we love Indian food, we've never tried specialties from Nepal. We ordered several appetizers- the samosas were large and yummy, but the chickpea salad (I can't remember the name) was just so-so. All of the main dishes were good, and I had an amazing glass of mango juice with my meal. It was a little difficult to communicate with... More

Took my wife for a romantic dinner to the Himalayan Kitchen after seeing many good reviews. Had the chicken tandoori and another dish. I don't think that they were anything to write home about - not bad, but not particularly tasty. I'm not the most refined in my knowledge of Indian foods, so the bland taste could have been something... More

Although my chicken curry was good, my husband's lamb was inedible. We let the manager know but he was unconcerned. Service was spotty.

Stopped in for the lunch buffet during my stay in Salt Lake. The buffet had a good number of options, with items such as chicken tikka masala, saag paneer, pakoras, tandoori chicken, salad, raita, etc. I just didn't enjoy the flavors as much as I have at other Indian establishments on the East coast; the saag paneer was overly salty... As a lone diner they seemed pretty reluctant to accommodate me. They were very busy and I didn't mind sitting at the bar but was made to feel an inconvenience. The minced chicken soup was good to start but very small portion. I had it with the special stuffed naan which was so good as it tasted of almost nothing... More
