We have eaten at The Garden many times over the years, and we recently brought a friend visiting from San Francisco. While we have been turned off in the past by particular food quality and service, we find ourselves unable to beat the view and atmosphere. During this last visit, our visitor loved his elaborate hamburger; he was impressed, something... More

It wasn't a horrible experience, especially since the views are awesome and there was no dress code or reservations required, but the service was definitely disappointing. The food wasn't bad, but wasn't memorable (pear and Gorgonzola salad, Romano chicken sandwich). Our server was sat with a 6-top about 5 minutes after we were sat, and trying to catch him for... More

I have always enjoyed this restaurant. I think the location is one of it's strongest pulls. The food is decent too. This visit though the wait staff seemed particularly slow and seemed to forget a few requests and also our meals came out at different times. Despite the wait and inconsistency of the staff, I still think the food is... More

Right across from the roof, nice little place with lovely lunch menu. A bit pricey, hit and miss with the food, but mostly pretty good. Bright and sunny on the top floor of the JS Memorial Building.

We were visiting Salt Lake City for the very first time. We decided that we would try and find a place to eat that was unique to the area and that's when we stumbled across the old Hotel Utah. The building is gorgeous and the lobby was extraordinary!!! We found out that there was a restaurant at the 10th floor... More

Great food but our waiter was pretty forgetful. I was surprised that such a nice place had what I thought were pretty good prices. Salmon salad, smothered burrito, loaded chips, fried pickles (these were the best fried pickles i've ever had) and Margherita chicken were all excellent and served quickly. It took our waiter way too long to get us... More

I was visiting the Square and decided to have a nice quiet dinner away from the conference I was attending. It was a lovely view, although the decor had seen better days in my opinion. The service was very sweet and attentive. I had the meatloaf sandwich, which was a lot of food but just not really worth the price.... More

I've heard others speak highly of the Garden Restaurant so I thought I'd give it a try. The staff I encountered was too busy with moving a display to even greet me until I asked them when I could be seated and although I arrived before the lunch crowd I was told I had to wait to be seated. The... More

The setting for this restaurant is fantastic, with great views of the SLC Temple and Temple Square. That created a great environment for our gathering. The service was impeccable as our waitress was very attentive, knowledgeable and well trained. The food was very good, nothing special abut the menu but good tasting food, good size dishes and a decent price.

We loved the view overlooking the Salt Lake Temple as we enjoyed a lovely meal. Can't rave enough about the peach lemonade and the food was generously proportioned and goos value for money. We hardly had space for dessert. We booked our table online and were ushered through without any wait The waitress was lovely and nothing was too much... More
