We come to Salt Lake each year to do genealogy and have found great restaurants in SLC. This year, we tried one of the LDS restaurants, this one atop the Joseph Smith Building which was the old Hotel Utah and which the church totally renovated. The meal was above average, but the view was great. Be sure to make reservations... More

The location of this restaurant, on top of the old Hotel Utah, now called the Joseph Smith Memorial Building, is the restaurant's best asset. With views of next-door Temple Square and the surrounding gardens, it is always a popular, therefore busy location. I guess this might be why the service is so poor - they know they are guaranteed business... More

This restaurant has fairly decent food, although service was a little scattered. My friend and I both ordered starters, then sanwiches for lunch. I ordered the tempura shrimp starter, she ordered the fried pickles. For our sanwhices, I had the BLT with avocado, and she had the chicken romano sandwich. Both plates came with kettle chips. Foccacia bread with oil... More

We went at night and were treated to a magnificent view of Temple Square with the tabernacle lit up. We thought the food was OK. The restaurant has an interesting history. Used to be outdoors on the roof. Now it's totally enclosed. Staff were friendly, and service was nicely paced.

Great views and quick service are a plus. The downside is that the food is bland and tastes like it has been boiled. Church potluck would describe it. I would skip it.

Great atmosphere and view at the Joseph Smith memorial building. There for lunch, had the Crispy Romaine Chicken Salad. This is a large salad with bacon, roma tomatoes, cucumber, and green onions. Parmesan peppercorn dressing is creamy and delicious. Added the chili soup which is delicious also. Would definately go again!

This restaurant was at the Jefferson Memorial Building. What a beautiful view at night, with the Mormon Temple lit up. the food was great! There were 30 people in our group & 2 waitress's that kept our water glasses full and our bread baskets fuull and the food was hot when served.

The food was excellent, the view was amazing. The service gave it a 4 out 5. It was a little slow and they forgot to bring my beverage.

I live a few blocks from this restaurant and have taken out-of-town guests there frequently, because of the fantastic view, the good food, and the reasonable prices. Not so anymore. Now the food is mediocre and the prices are exorbitant for what you get! Recently, I took a friend there for lunch. We first were given a round of Italian-style... More

Great view of downtown and looking west, very white and bright. Appetizer of Brent's chips were good (blue chese chips with bacon and it is a very good sized portion) as was the wedge salad...at this point in the meal we were thinking it was a good place overall (4stars)...then our entress came out and they both looked good (chicken...
