Hadn't been to Cucina since Valter left, but decided to try the special five-course dinner with a Groupon. Ordered promptly and told the waiter we had 1 hour 20 minutes to dine. No problem, he said. Enjoyed the seafood antipasti, but then waited 35 minutes for our next course (ravioli and gnocchi which were nicely prepared). Another 25 minutes went... More

Although the food and service was superb, I have to give NO stars! We made reservations more than a week ahead of time and even though there were many tables not used, we were seated right next to the entrance to the kitchen and notorious for being the worst table in the restaurant (it was very noisy and busy). We... More

I loved the food, wine and atmosphere. Worth the money. Wish I could afford to return more often. Only dislike is the parking, however it's terrible to park anywhere downtown, so not exclusive to this restaurant.

What a great surprise while visiting SLC! Everything on the menu looked delicious. It was difficult to make a selection. Pastas were homemade and excellent. Cesear salad was good but really not made tableside. Chocolate molten cake w/gelato was just the right size for 2. Wine list was limited but acceptable. Only negative was service as it was average. Couldn't ask for better service on night with no other diners in sight until way later. We were worried, but soon go over that while enjoying the Caprese e Prosciutto appetizer. Top notch. Then we shared the Pasta Duo and Pollo in Saltimbucca. Very tasty and well presented. Wine list was OK for this level of restaurant. We enjoyed a... More

I was a little concerned after hearing this great Salt Lake City restaurant changed hands. My apprehension proved unwarranted. The ambiance is better. Much more comfortable and quiet , a substantial improvement from the noisy, cafeteria- like atmosphere of the old. The antipasti was stellar. The beef carpaccio was paper thin and flavorful, as was the spec and the prosciutto.... More

Cucina Toscana is a wonderful restaurant. The service is excellent and the food is prepared in a traditional way. It is a little more expensive than most of the other Italian places but it is worth it. The meals are always excellent and the wait staff is friendly and helpful without being overbearing. If you like traditional Italian this place... More

As this restaurant was recommended to us we had to give it a try. We were not at all disappointed. All the food was great from the zuppa to the fish, pasta and veal dishes. I really wanted to try their Tiramisu but had no room left. The restaurant sent us a small digestif at the end that was very... More

This was my favorite restaurant when Walter was there. It now has a new menu which is not great and service is really lacking. I won't be spending money here again and will not recommend to you or anyone else.
