My wife and I ate here while on vacation based on the recommendation of a friend. They had really good food. I had the fish tacos and she had the fajitas. Both were really good. And, there guacamole is outstanding. We would visit again.

As many others have stated, the Red Iguana has great mexican food. We recently went there on a Friday night while visiting Salt Lake City. We had skipped lunch and arrived for dinner at 4:30. It was crowded but we were seated immediately. Our waitress, although very busy, was wonderful. To help us figure what who to order, she brought... More

I've heard so many great things about this restaurant so we had to go. I had the Chaquita (ok I could be completely wrong about the name, but this is what I remember). It was marinated steak with yellow & red peppers, onions and pineapple wrapped around a fresh tortilla. It was sooo good. The reason I gave it a... More

My favorite spot to eat in SLC - delicious food, casual dining, huge portions, at a reasonable price. I love this place! A must visit

Red Iguana has the best Mexican food in Salt Lake City, hands down. There's always a line of people waiting to get in, not by accident. There's the Red Iguana 2 right around the corner where the line is shorter and they serve the same food.

We went for our daughters birthday because her "friends" told her ti was amazing..............well they have a different definition of amazing. I guess if you've only dined in Utah then yeah it's ok. If you have a sophisticated palate then AVOID this place like gonorrhea.

After hearing about this place on several trips to SLC, we finally gave it a try for lunch since we had time to wait. There is a perpetual line out the front door. I was amazed that it was as good as advertised. We both had a chimichanga. Delicious. The sauce on the chimichanga is original and a delight. I... More

There are two locations for this very popular Mexican restaurant both within a couple of blocks of each other. The North Temple location is the original restaurant, and the same menu is served at the newer Red Iguana, Two located 2 blocks away at 866 W South Temple. There is an extensive menu of well crafted dishes ranging from enchiladas... More

Fantastic mole. As noted by others, this spot can be busy so coming in off hours is a good idea. I have been four times and have found no wait for an early lunch (11:30) or early dinner (5:00), but waits up to an hour or so at more popular times. The restaurant can be noisy and is not particularly... More

The best Carnitas and Moles, top it off with fresh hand made margarita. The whole menu is authentic and is worth exploring again and again and again. Hint: ask for a mole sampler to help find your personal taste combination.
