I read the reviews and even had personal recommendations but you truly do not know how good the mole is until you taste it. The actually gave me a plate with 7 different moles to taste. While they all were good I still went to the Traditional Mole Negro and the Mole Problano. Enjoy.

Read all the reviews on TripAdvisor and was planning on it when we visited salt Lake city. It was packed for lunch ordered moles as I've never tried them before. The meal was delicious bonus was the hotel I randomly booked was across the street from the restaurant. Would highly recommend red iguana if ur ever in salt Lake city

Great first meal in SLC. As first time visitor, was given a mole sampler to help determine what to try. The ability to have 2 choices on one dish made it easier to decide. Strongly recommend the pepper appetizer too.

We were looking for someplace we can't find at home and this was a great choice. The food was very tasty, staff was friendly and helpful, and chips and salsa delicious. We tried a chimichanga, tacos, mole dish, and flautas. Everyone in our party enjoyed their choice. Wait was not long and we took the tram so parking was not... More

I truly wanted to love this place! We have been searching for good Mexican food since we moved to Utah from Nashville. We may have tried the wrong things, but the fish tacos and Ramon's quesadilla left a lot to be desired. The fish tacos were truly awful. My son tried the queso, which was also really bad! I'm not... This is a great place to get your Mexican food on. We order here all the time with our company and I go here often with my family. I have never had anything here that I didn't like.

I'm neither here nor there with the Red Iguana. The place certainly has a ton of hype in Salt Lake City and patrons wait in a line winding outside around the building for an available table, when finally seated and served our much anticipated food I just found it to be average. Nothing fantastic, nothing worth waiting in a line... More

We split a chicken fajita meal, which was plenty for two. I don't know if they handmake their tortillas, but they ruined me for ever wanting storebought ones ever again. The service was excellent. The place was busy, but we got right in due to getting there early. There can be a long line at this place since it is... More

Get get to the establishment at 4 PM on a Saturday. There was a line, but it was worth the wait. Sam our waiter was fantastic. We were greeted with a bowl of queso. One of the guests asked about the sauces, and the waiter brought a sample of all of them. Food was all great! Service some of the... More

Driving by this place, you would question if this was just another Mexican restaurant, but there has to be a reason that at least 50 people are standing outside in 100 degree heat to get in. The following night, we take a risk and arrive at 5:00; we have a 25 minute wait, but cold water is provided! Was it... More
