I despise Cafe Rio. Every item tastes like cilantro and lime. The lines are always ridiculously long at busy hours. The portions are huge and the place seems dirty and unsanitary to me. I think people who go to CR are fools

But on the few occasions I have visited the Cafe Rio at different locations, the food was always average, nothing great and over priced. The worst is the Cafe Rio located in the Salt Lake Airport. Many more options with better food, portions and prices.

This is the best Mexican in Utah. You order and watch your food being prepared from fresh wholesome ingredients. Be sure to try their famous shredded pork...in any dish. The food is prepared fast and is very economical. Don't leave town without trying Café Rio. There are many locations.

Our go-to restaurant for Mexican...better than the authentic kind. The chile rellenos are amazing...sweet, savory, indulgent. But our family favorite is the pork tostada. The chips and salsa are simple but just right.

LOVE the pork babaqua salad! Great place for friends family- Dine in or take out-- it can be a bit noisy for deep conversations when restaurant is busy

Sure it's not authentic Mexican food, but it's just yummy. We love the sweet pork salads! Love that we can customize our salad or burrito in line and get just what we feel like.

Decent Mexican semi-"fast" (walk the serving line) food with no distinction (referred to by "some" of us locals as "Mo-Mex" food :-) )

If you have the chance to try the Chile Rellenos, you really should. They are delicious and filled with lots of pulled pork. My new favorite when I go to Cafe rio. The burrito is also yummy, and we like it enchilada style. You really can't go wrong with any meal you try at cafe rio. They also have a... More

The formula at Cafe Rio is not too different from Chipotle-- but the place is bigger, and has more of a sit down feel to it. The quality of the food and the freshness of the ingredients coupled with low prices make this place excellent value-- especially if you're hungry as the portions are sizable.
