Great Mexican food that is prepared fresh and quick. Had the chicken tortilla salad and it was crisp, fresh and tasty. If you want fresh and fast, not to mention healthy ( at least the salads are), give this place a shot!

We eat here a couple time and each time I got the lunch special. It was great and reasonably priced. My family of 7 eat for about $57.00 and we had plenty in the doggy bags. A very popular place so go on off times. Lines can be long and parking short, but food is awesome.

I had been tipped off about Cafe Rio but I assumed it was just a Utah 'over the top' thing. It's not exactly cheap an on occasion you're stood in the queue (line for you Americans) for quite a lengthy period of time. Ordering your food is fun and its quite quick really! There's a great atmosphere amongst the staff... More

No authentic flavoring at all, it's fresh and that's about it. The pricing is ridiculous nine dollars for a burrito, somebody is greedy. I won't be back looks like " I am a free bird"

If a person prefers food with absolutely no taste, seasoning or spices, this would be the place. The blandest "Mexican" food I have ever tasted, bar none. I simply do not understand the attraction or appeal of the place. It is so beloved by the locals that all the locations consist of standing in lines reminiscent of those found in... More

I came here knowing that Cafe Rio is much loved in the SLC area. I should have done my research as I found out while waiting in line that my lunch was going to be lettuce, grilled chicken, and guac. Nothing else. As I tried to explain my order to the service people, they did not understand and kept adding... More

The food is always fresh. It's fun to watch your meal made right in front of you. We always get our food to go because the restaurant is usually crowded and can be noisy.

Everyone is crazy about this place. I get it. It is affordable and fresh. But the number of kids here can be crazy. The quality of the food is good, but it isn't the 'raves' that people give it. And I have NEVER been crazy about the service. Out of towners enjoy it. It is efficient. And I'll go back.... More

A good place to pick up (or dine-in) fresh Mexican food. Unless you go at a busy time, you can be in and out very quickly. Very flexible about sauces on the side.

Great food, atmosphere is not the best, it's always noisy and there is usually screaming screaming kids in there! Better to get it and go
