Good meal and service

During an overnight in Salt Lake City decided that Mexican is what I needed. I visited this restaurant years ago and had favorable memories. I had the pork enchilada with red sauce per the recommendation from our waiter. I must say this was a very good meal and the portion was large enough for... read more

This restaurant was so pleasant. It was a nice summer evening and we sat indoors but right by the open door so we had a nice breeze but were not too hot. Our waiter was fantastic - I wish I could remember his name - and very funny. The dining room is the old waiting room at a train station... More

If you are looking for good Mexican food this place never fails. I went there for lunch with my co workers. We were seated immediately even though it was very busy. Our drink orders were taken within a minute or two. Chips and salsa was at the table soon after. Our orders taken and food was at our table in... More

A great room with a lively juke box in an amazing rail road station. The menu is what I expect from good quality Cali Mex restaurants. I met friends there every Friday night for most of the 90's and it has not changed a bit.

Good Mexican food set in a historic railroad terminal. The service is good and prices are reasonable. The only drawback is the location of the restaurant, which is near SLC's homeless shelters, consequently you may see panhandlers near.

We love their specials, but have to say this is the best place for us to get a great margarita. Love their chips and salsa as well

Nice to find a local hangout when traveling. Had the special - swordfish with a unique jicama salad on the side -- perfectly seasoned with cilantro and a bit of hot. Margarita's very good, setting inside historic. We enjoyed sitting outside on the patio.

In 1910, this grand building was built to serve as a railway station for the Denver Rio Grande and Western Railroad. Today, part of the building is where the Rio Grande Cafe has made it's home for over 30 years. Fresh salsa and chips, hot food, and a wonderful assortment of delicious margaritas makes for a very nice - and... More

I enjoyed sitting at the old fashioned counter and was well taken care of, in that I was alone. The food was good.
