Love this restaurant, but ...

I visit Salt Lake City regularly and for atmosphere, menu, beer selection, and service, you can see why Bayou is packed with happy patrons. It's a great place! But my last trip presented a problem worth mentioning. A group of us came for lunch and one person in our party was carded. Since he wasn't... read more

I come back to the Bayou again and again because they are consistently great. The food is original, the service is friendly and the beer list is long! One of my favorite things to order here is the 50/50 fries (half regular/half sweet potato) with fry sauce. My husband loves the gumbo!

I frequently come to Salt Lake City for work and was told to check this place out - so very glad that I did - the beer selection was amazing and the food was tasty - I had the catfish sandwich - it was excellent and my friend had the burrito - she really enjoyed it - our server was... More

I recent had lunch here and ordered a holiday Deschutes Seasonal Jubelale (355ml) and was charged for Deschutes Jubel 2015 (651ml). It was defensive dining outing with work mates and I did not discover this until after I left. I went back to see if they would correct the error but, no joy. In the future the lunch bunch won't... I am writing this review nearly a year after I ate there. That's how memorable it was! Could spend months trying all the different beers. The Cajun burrito was one of the best things I've ever eaten!

It took me 15 minutes to go through the beer list, but finally settled on a nice Lucifer Ale which was very good. You add in a truly delicious crayfish appetizer with the best jambalaya and hoppin John I have had in a long while. You add in some good jazz music and the night was truly special.

Stopped here after a concert recently for one drink, ended up staying for several. Decent jazz band playing in the corner, well-made drinks and a HUGE beer selection. Definitely a beer drinker's paradise--micros and rare imports. We did not order food, but it looked good. Friendly staff, nice atmosphere, recommended.

First time visitor to SLC and found this gem a few blocks from the hotel. Great looking bar - and great place to hang out. Nightly entertainment on the weekend featuring live music. Might have to check it out later in the trip.

Excellent bartenders. Huge beer menu - 14 pages. Full bar too. Gumbo with shrimp and crawfish was excellent. Reasonable prices. If I lived in SLC, we'd be here every week. (Has small parking lot)

The service was good but the food was pretty average. I was expecting something more unique and just didn't find it here.
