Historic place to dine

It was interesting to have a meal here as part of a group outing. The meal was delicious. I was surprised to be served apple juice with dinner as I thought it was ice tea until I tasted it. The key lime pie was to die for.

Very tasty, quick, inexpensive fayre. My excellent bean and chorizo soup was served in a bowl made of bread. I could not finish it, but a very hungry person might be able.

We went and had an early dinner. We were pleasantly surprised by the food. I hadn't been there since childhood and remembered it as being cafeteria style food. It is served in something of a cafeteria style, but the food is good, though not great. Ambiance is a bit lacking. Rolls are very good.

Went on a Friday afternoon for our yearly temple lights tradition and luckily got there before the Jazz game/temple square lights crowd showed up. When we left, the line was all the way back to the street. The pork pot pie was fantastic! I was very delighted. The sides were tasty and the coconut cream pie was delish. The fresh... More

I was here a few years ago and returning to Temple Square this time I knew where to get a late lunch. It's a pleasant place where you walk along the service area to select your food, then there are several rooms to choose from with various sizes of tables. As it was after the rush of lunchtime it was... More

I have been wanting to try out the Lion House Pantry for awhile because I have always heard good things about it, especially the rolls. Well, I was unimpressed and would not recommend it or go back. First off, it is basically a cafeteria. You walk down a line with your tray and they serve food much like a Furr's.... More

If you’re looking for a quick meal while visiting the Temple Square area, The Lion House is it. They do have some pretty good food for a decent price. The portion sizes are a little small, but when your meal is over you’re not hungry. I had the BBQ Pulled Pork that was a little sweet. The Mashed Potatoes that... More

We didn't eat at the Lion House but we ate at the Lion House Pantry which is this cute and cozy shop that sells some of the Lion House food. We had the black cherry soda which was really good and they have some excellent desserts!

Very nice place where you are guided for a couple of kind sister missionaries who tell you interesting facts on LDS Church.

They are most famous for their rolls!! I love this restaurant!! This is Brigham Young's home and is connected to the Beehive house. Take a tour!! It is great for History buffs wanting to learn more about Mormon history!
