Neat to See

This is a neat house to walk by and study a bit. It housed Brigham Young's wives and family. There is a decent restaurant in the basement (where the families ate). It is on the Mormon block, so pop in.

Have eaten here many times. It caters to tourists being in an historical building. The food is just average in taste (like school lunch) and overpriced, but pulls the tourists in so that they can say they ate there. For me that's not enough. The dining area is in the basement, with no views, greenery, or ambiance. Almost like eating... More

We walked by and we could smell the fresh bread! so we went in and it was cafeteria style food that looked really fresh and good The building was interesting and it was a great meal that was quick and fresh. We enjoyed it so much that the next day my hubby wanted to eat there again. This place is... More

In my opinion, this house is much more impressive than the beehive house. Unfortunately it was closed for a private event and we couldn't see the whole house

The tilapia, artichoke chicken are perfect. Fruit cup and poached veggie sides are so healthy. Very nice pantry for our Pioneer Day celebration.

I was there for a luncheon and the food was very good, the service great and the setting was beautiful. Beginning with the beautiful flowers in the garden at the entrance to the charm of eating in an historic house.

We went here because this was a dorm for some of Brighams' wives. When asked about this we were told the rooms are just junk, dirty and for storage. The food choices were not a healthier variety we were hoping for.

Hadn't caught up with the rest of our tour group coming from chicago until our group lunch at the lion house. We did not eat from the buffet which was a little disappointing because I was going to have a pot pie...but we were served a nice fruit salad the restaurants signature chicken dish which was deliciously flavored and so... Went here with a tour group and wasn't quite sure what to expect. We had a discount coupon which made the value of the lunch a great bargain. Food served cafeteria style and you just pick out what you want and then go and seat yourself. The food was simple but very tasty. Highly recommended for downtown SLC.

Typical buffet with meats and vegetables. Meats weren't really very tasty. Rolls which are supposed to be outstanding were just okay. Desserts weren't good - and only two to pick from.
